  1. I'd like it to finish on Friday please - I have a friend coming over from Orange and she could do with some sunshine since all they've had is rain and snow. Sunshine on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then it can go back to rain, thanks
  2. Welcome home AP!! So awesome you saw an ES on the train! I'd love to go to europe you lucky thing!! Welcome home to Ptolomy and Bedazzled too!!
  3. Lovely! congrats!! it's amazing how much baby greys still look like greys even with their smoosh faces! I hope that Fern recovers well.
  4. This It's so easy to ruin your showdog by overtraining.
  5. Not sure where you are, but if you are anywhere near Jandakot, there is a Stock feed place on North Lake Road near Jandakot Vets (just a little further north, but before Berrigan Drive). I haven't been in there to check out their prices, but they could be reasonable.
  6. I too dont have a stud dog to tell me, and last time, i prog tested and sent bitch away (from WA to ACT) after checking her prog was increasing steadily. Natural mating took place succesfully. Are you able to bring the stud dog to the bitch for the time she is in? This woudl cut out travel time and stress! Not sure how to bring a bitch in - i didn't think it can really be done except as midniara said, sometimes they bring themselves in by following another bitch who is in.
  7. Hi Tumbleweed As far as i am aware, I didn't think it was illegal in WA to not have their dog in a restraint. If it is, i hadn't heard of the law change at all. Watching with interest for an answer.
  8. Well done for everyone's success on the weekend!!! Temperament testing went great CC I'm sorry i didn't see where you offered your services!!! RV told me afterwards!! I'm sorry!! All the pups can use their nose well except one, all pups did great on pick up and carry objects and they all loved the bird wing (thank you Mas x)
  9. Just on this one, agree with Woofen... people laughed at the neuter title... people didn't support it and many breeders wouldn't encourage their puppy buyers to have a go even if they wanted to. The neuter title is for dogs on Main register.... and the limit was brought in to stop people from registering and showing dogs that are not suitable. Where does that leave pet people that might want to have a go? we have a small club with several members who would like to try showing. The first show that has offered neuter this year is in July and we have three members who will be eligible to show their dogs. We have gained permission from their breeders and they are joined and entered. these are people who have ex show dogs but would never have known about showing if we hadn't encouraged them to come down and see what it is all about.
  10. Oh RV I am SO excited for you!! plus my whole litter will still be at home if you want to bring her over for some weimy fun!!
  11. RS they are all in a dedicated weimaraner breed book and they all help with the indication of temperaments for working etc. it'll give me a good idea of what each pup is suited to and to whom. The tests we do - swimming test (in the bath!), introduction to feather, some kind of tracking type test etc. Tehre are a heap to do... so much fun!!
  12. Oh now annoying Mas!! I hope it's not as long as they say it will be. how annoying having to wait.
  13. Ptolomy I hope you have a fantastic weekend away!! Happy birthday to Soggy bear Mas good news so far about Mason - fingers crossed for the next lot of results to be clear too. what's everyone else doing on the weekend? I too have a rare weekend at home to do some tidying and gardening... then on Sunday RV is coming over to help me with temperament testing

  15. Tell me about it - if they didn't latch onto my clothes and hang off me with thier teeth at every opportunity, I would probably never leave the room
  16. Do you have any particular favourites or traits that you want in a dog? what type of exercise level do you want? When you say small do you mean small like a silky size or small like a cocker spaniel size? if you are active you want something that can handle the activity level without tiring.
  17. Oh ok I didn't realise that about the vet thing and also didn't think of how it woudl affect the toys - in saying that, the rest of the states do it without an issue
  18. There MAY be a keeper in there... but as always it HAS to be worth me keeping one... so at this stage, none are keepers until i decide, however I have deliberately held off on the last home after someone pulled out.
  19. All the pups are so darn cute!! here are some more of my babies at 6 weeks
  20. And... some photos 6 weeks Red Boy Purple Boy Pink Girl Blue Boy Black Boy
  21. Ok photo time!!! Red Boy Purple Boy Pink Girl Blue Boy Black Boy We missed orange boy!! but more photos to come this weekend!
  22. I'd like to see a proper program in each state/territory in place for aspiring breeders with lectures/education and a written (not open book) test before applying for a prefix. The lectures would have sections on health testing, structure of the canine, education on the breeding aspects and raising a litter. I would also like to see a more in depth program for aspiring judges to learn about structure/movement of the canine in it's basic form which then stems out to various breeds.
  23. Piper your method sounds great. I probably should have done something like that... in saying that they have finally started pooing on the one spot in the corner wehre the newspaper is, but they are still weeing anywhere they see fit... it's on the hard floor all the time and it's like a slip and slide in t here whenever i go in there! a few of them are getting it though so hopefully the others will follow suit. Things have improved since i removed more of the newspaper though.
