I can sort of see the issue with the breed points scoring, but you could argue that if you want the breed represented this way on the pointscore, that it should also be represented this way with breed points towards a title, after all a dog could win RUBOB all year around and never score a point despite beating other dogs of it's breed. It certainly makes things easier when it comes to entering the score, anyway...

it seems the writer of this book likes to promote cycling with your dog!!

you could almost call her racist for choosing to play with a dog of her own colour -
Thanks Mirawee I wish JT had won a group as well but no Still after some recent issues I don't think he'd be up for POTY at the moment.

CC not a problem All Lulu cares about now is the dummy so she wont be paying much attention to anything!! Look forward to meeting you weasels -
Mirawee I just have the one puppy in - Lulu was the one that won the minor in groups - Poor JT!! he did so well in baby but never quite got the class in groups and yet he always beat his sister. RS you have to win a Baby, Minor or Puppy in Group to be eligible. emery great news about your friend i've not been to a POTY before so not quite sure what to expect. Is there a lot of standing around or is there a lot more stacking than usual? i don't want Lulu to get bored.

Swimming- How Much Is Too Much?
SparkyTansy replied to Alouk's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I can't see how it would cause issues as there is no impact on growing joints. The only thing you should be wary of is the fitness level. If she stays out with you I would stay out for as long as she can and then allow her to rest. -

Updated! Perth Dolers Beach Meet!
SparkyTansy replied to SparkyTansy's topic in General Dog Discussion
OK so the final conclusion is that the beach meet is: SUNDAY 8TH JANUARY 2012 Meet between 8am and 8.30am (or slightly later if you like!) I can't figure out how to get the map onto DOL (I suck) so if you google Governor Road Rockingham Beach Road you will see the location of the carpark. It's easy to find, as there is a roundabout to turn into the car park. If you are coming from the north, best way is as already said, Kwinana Fwy to Thomas Road (Right onto Thomas Road), all the way to the end, turn left onto Rockinham Road (turns into Patterson), right at Kwinana Beach Road (it is a set of lights to turn right). Take the turn on the left after the railway track (Which is still Kwinana beach road, and then will turn into rockingham beach road) and keep following it around (you'll go right around a bend, then left around another bend), then keep going straight and you'll go past the big blue grain terminal and come to a roundabout to turn right into a car park and you are THERE!! I've possibly made it sound more complicated than it is. Just so you know, it's about 20 minutes from my house, which is between armadale and Russell Road. It's up to you if you want to bring food. There is a BBQ there, as well as plenty of shady pergolas... only thing is probably one person should stay up there with the stuff. Suggest bringing lots of water, bowls and favourite beach toys though!! If anyone wants to, they can meet at my house at around 7.30-8am and can follow me and RV. Just PM me if you want. AP - I see on the maps the Wells carpark - I always through that was a humans only beach!!! I took my nephew there once. The beach further down has a larger section of sand. I think between the Wells one and the Governor Road one, is a horse beach. -
yay RV!!

hopefully it's not far off RS!! maybe just a day behind mine!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaah I just wnat to go home with my big box of CR stuff to give to the dogs... each dog got a new toy - Lulu got some retrieving dummies atlhough I've since learned that she isn't that interested in them after playing with RVs

HUGE congratulations Ellz!! -
RS I think mine said it shipped on the 22nd... it was placed on the 15th. I didn't bother tracking it but I was going to if I hadn't recieved it by the end of the week. Woudl it be worth heading down to your PO and checking whether it is there? Maybe the card has gone missing?

MG - similar issues with Ari and a land retrieve. she will go and get it, but the enthusiasm isn't there as it is with a water retrieve. -
I have all your foam balls RV, and RS, your wool tug!!

Thanks for the tip TSD - that makes sense... I should be working on delivery separately anyway but admit I've been a little slack in that department lately -
If You Were Choosing A Breed On Looks Alone...
SparkyTansy replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Purely for looks only, English Setters top of the list, and I'll get really technical, I'll say UK lines top the Field type and the American type for preferred look. then: Weimaraners Gordon & Irish Setters irish Water Spaniels Lowchen There are a lot more but these top my list for looks. -
Thanks for the congrats everyone I'm very proud of Lulu - she is a little star and loves the ring.

Well my hopeful for 2012, Belbracon Seeker Lover Keeper "Lulu", finished the year with another Minor Puppy in Group :D Very proud!!
