how exciting Flaves!!

I think open shows should be listed as just that, but it doesn't make it any less special or brag worthy! I showed a dog at a breed specialty open show as a youngster - he went RUBIS(S)... next time at an open show (all breeds) he went BIG under the same judge. Yep, the judge was a trainee, but he was also a breed specialist and knew a damn sight more about the breed than most. Those wins were special and I bragged :) Anyway, I don't usually put stuff in front of my dogs names... but I did put the above dogs BISS from his Champ show on dogz ;) but mostly I use the text box for braggin'

How awful - good on the people for dropping a flyer. there are some b@$t@$ out there!

I think sometimes we could all do with a break from our dogs... nothing wrong with that...

MG they won't send you another renewal letter? I always find it rather strange how often Australia post stuffs up when it comes to DogsWest... Sorry to hear Ness some luck comes your way soon.

She didn't win but she did really well considering it was freezing after 4 days of heatwave!! her little legs were shaking!

How Do Breeders Decide On Limited Register Or Main ?
SparkyTansy replied to mumoftwo's topic in Breeders Community
Mine go on limit if they are to be pets and are going to be desexed... anything that makes the grade that i can't keep I try and find a show home for or a home that may keep entire for a while longer til I can assess...they go on mains once I've spoken extensively with the owner... they stay in joint names until I've assessed at a later age, if I am showing it, or if I decide to use (this is usualy males btw). if it doesn't make the grade I advise they can desex and I'll transfer into their name once proof of desex. -
What Is The Longest Time You've Not Seen Your Dog?
SparkyTansy replied to Lisey's topic in General Dog Discussion
I've been away a week here and there but either my mum or OH looks after the dogs when I'm away. Most has been up to a week, though... James is most used to being away from me as I swap him out when a friend or my bitch comes into season so can be up to 3 weeks away at a time. I'm going away for 4 weeks soon but again myOH will be staying behind to look after them... I trust him well enough but 4 weeks is a long time with 4 dogs that I am the primary carer of... I hope he will be ok... This is the first time I've been away from Ari and Lulu for longer than a week -
I'll be at training tonight with Lulu and JT... JT just for the socialisation and Lulu we are just working on heelwork and autosits, so I'll be wandering around most likely the outskirts of the training groups!

BIG congrats to you and Sarah :)

Hey everyone I hope you all had a good weekend! RS I hope Ruby's hot spot is better soon. I agree they don't need to shave most of the time. My sister managed to convince her vet not to shave Charlie's leg (OES) and so if they can manage with an OES I'm pretty sure they can handle a short coated breed!! Poor spartan is suffering a bit (self inflicted not that he would know!) from getting hold of some chicken a few weeks ago... his usual pustules are back all over his tummy and back legs. Poor boy - i have cream for it but if it doesnt start improving soon I'll have to get him on some cortisone (first time in 5 years) and antibiotics sorry MG not been to Lancelin ever!!
-
Emery if I can do it you can :) although I do not enjoy it, because if i get stressed i fumble and stuff up! I'm not showing this weekend, so good luck to everyone who is!!

What's Wrong About Giving Dogs Human Names?
SparkyTansy replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I had a mixture from my last litter they are known now as "Toby", "Toby", "Dexter", "Rebus" and "JT". -
wow how awful - i hope that you find the foster and help you need for them.

Happy birthday Ososwift!!

Ugh I'm having an average day with the dogs... was getting ready and left the pups outside for 10 minutes... came back to see just a head and a tail in the ground... both dogs were black and there was a very large hole where my garden bed used to be... all the sand from said garden bed (which is moist from the rain) was all over my rock area congrats emery on the skin kids first day of school!! very sweet!! I hope boots, Ruby and all the other dogs having a rough trot are on the mend soon MG if you ring the canine tell them you haven't received your renewal letter - the sooner you do it the better... 94551188 is the number! RS wellies sound good but I'm also in the middle of saving for my holiday. I'll probably buy some wellies over there anyway but if not I'll go in on the order when i get back (late march).

hope its better soon mirawee. you'd think he would have noticed he was 9yo in his notes...
-
I like mine to finish growing before they are desexed... particularly the males The only thing that i noticed about my boy when he was desexed was his coat went to crap (he was 5)

What's Wrong About Giving Dogs Human Names?
SparkyTansy replied to W Sibs's topic in General Dog Discussion
I've had more "human" than "pet" names Timmy, Elly, Missy, D'Arcy, Webster, James, Ariane, , Charlotte, Lulu all "human" names Sparky, Tansy, Spartan, Merlin, Mister -
sashagirl can you be more specific? there are lots of vets NoR but some may still be further away for you than others.
