  4. Jodie, You know that Ollie is always close in my heart.....; every time i look at Lucinda I send Ollie Dog a little prayer. Glad the leg is holding up... so is Dennys Dog who has an ACL problem which my vet felt needed surgery we are playing the waiting game with him . Lucinda had a problem as well some years ago.. he leg was so bad that you could hear loud clicking as she walked. With rest and supplements she developed a callus there as did not require any surgical intervention. Sending extra positive thoughts Ollies way. Hugs to you and tummy tickles to Ollie H
  5. How is she H? Been thinking about her heaps lately. She is not too bad... enjoying snoozing, eating ( will only eat food which has pedogree pal added to it and warmed yuck!!!!!! ) looks very raggy and she is getting quite weary. I worry but madam is actuall very frisky. so it is still a case of not today not without a fight. cheers h

  8. ok does he work with sheep and /or goats? have you considered lice? check the property for any different seeding plants.. some grass seeds cause terrible problems for the working dogs. After all is said and done I would also be looking at adding omega oils to his food. I am not a big fan of the dried food only diets ( personal preferance as i have noticed that some of my maremmas develop itchiness on dried food only) Sardines or mackeral are good. I would also add in vit E supplement with the omegas. has he had skin scrapings done by the vet if not that should be done. sleeping under house _ fleas, midghes, mites, lice so treat for those. Cheers Helen

  11. "Twenty-seven dogs in the imidacloprid/moxidectin group and 23 dogs in the fenbendazole group completed the study according to protocol. The efficacies of the two treatment protocols were 85.2% (imidacloprid/moxidectin) and 91.3% (fenbendazole) with no significant difference between treatment groups. On radiographic evaluation pulmonary parenchyma showed similar improvement in each group. No serious adverse effects to treatment were recorded: most of the minor adverse effects were gastrointestinal such as diarrhea (nine dogs), vomitus (eight dogs) and salivation (three dogs). In general, these adverse effects were of short duration (1-2 days) within the first few days after treatment start and required little or no treatment.
