  8. My dear jake was a Kong fanatic. he had various kongs all heavy duty and he delighted in sitting besdie me on teh bed and clamping his jaws down on them and they would sport og sproing back.. often resulting in me confoscating said kong and hiding it under my pillow till morning ( note the kong was unstuffed LOL. The kongs would rotate about.. then they all disappeared and when Jake crossed to The Bridge not a kong was tyo be found..BUT lately five years later in fact they have started reappearing... i now have 7 accounted for.. hmmm strange. 18. good grief!!!!! the first thing i would be doing is having a full health assessment for the dog: Complete blood analysis ,including a full ( note full) thyroid panel with antibodies,(note sub clinical hypothyroidism around or less thn say 25% of normal levels, can be an underlying cause of agressive behaviours esp when they suddenly appear) urine checks etc. i know the dog is young but youth does not preclude such problems. I would be then consulting with a reputable behaviourist and a holistic vet. Good luck H

  20. one of the symptoms of overdose and reaction to vetmedin is lethargy and loss of appetite.. CHECK AGAIN WITH YOUR VET!!!!! Fact Sheet What Are the Side Effects of Vetmedin in Dogs? Vetmedin is a medication used in dogs who are suffering from congestive heart failure. Vetmedin works by opening the blood vessels of the heart to improve blood flow and reduce the work load of the canine heart. Allergic Reactions Dogs taking vetmedin may have an allergic reaction to the medication. Symptoms include swelling of the face, tongue or lips, hives and difficulty breathing. Respiratory Issues Vetmedin has the potential to cause issues with the respiratory system, such as labored breathing, coughing and fluid accumulation in the lungs or abdomen. Bowel Movements Vetmedin may cause diarrhea, which can be mild to severe, depending on the individual dog. Additional Side Effects Dogs may also experience pale gums, weakness, drowsiness, scratching or poor appetite. In severe cases, there may be seizures, shock or coma. Overdose Side Effects Symptoms of a vetmedin overdose include coughing, fainting, fluid accumulation in the abdomen or the lungs, loss of appetite, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, drowsiness and weakness. good luck Helen
