off to the vet methinks... shivering/shaking can be an indicator of pain, illness or anxiety... as it is a new behaviour then i would be consulting a vet h

well given that rattus rattus has moved in and teh dog appears interested i would be allowing a hunt.. at least then you are in control and can remove dead rat when caught my guys all love the concept but are not quite like their auntie Lucinda who could catch usually three mice when the feed troughs were lifted ( on a good day 5) she was lightnng fast god bless her H

same story with my OH and sweet Lucky. OH was also very hurt that Luckjy was so afraid of him... we went the ignore route but then when i was away.. OH took to lying flat on theground in the shade.. after a little while Lucky came and sat onhim.. they became quite good friends eventually and that was the start. hand feeding is no good initially when the dog is frightened... H

Gorgeous looking dog BUT in the bottom picture his eyes are rock hard.....my Jake was handsome like that but his eyes alwasy twinkled H

I am so glad that banshee will have her own family ... one that she has had a part in choosing too... Yep that sad/ happy time when the dog we have fostered travels off into the wide world... sigh - it is so bittersweet H

i like that idea good suggestion... two of my guys have been holistically treated for cancer... and have both lived much longer than the original prognosis and lived well too.. soory to read teh dx but remember cancer is just a word -- life is what you make of it H
