Sorry that you have these concerns. I would also be looking at holistic support for your Louis.. to assist his immune system to do what it is supposed to. My dear old girl Lucinda lived well the last five or so years of her life with MCT grade 3.. .. she was holistically treated.. see also Ollies thread in palliative care forum.. heaps of experience there H

well i identified with being banned from obedience classes.. The Divine miss Sophi was "untrainable" the trainer suggested i carruy a piece of polypipe to whack her with.. The Divine one lived a fulfilled happy doggy life with me for 11 years... and she was the one along with Morris who taught me more about dogs and opened my eyes to canine interaction and behaviours..... H

that sounds like a plan. I commend Jake-K for his concern and compassion. it is hard dealing with someone who has mental issues... we alll want to do the right thing and certainly do not want to make the situation worse but also need to retain a life of our own... it is impossible to solve other peoples problems you can only support. i second giving it a shot and let us know how thing go. I have a couple of dogs here who hate storms.. I just make sure they are somewhere safe , where they can see us ..and leave them to it- not patting/soothing. They get rescue remedy if they are really upset- but that's it. I'm mean :p i has a serious coffee slperk over the choked prawn eyes... one of mine also does those impersonations. I usually try to stick around but not make too much of a fuss... silly Dennys Dog he was improving ( he is nearly 11) but two weeks ago we had a huge clap of thunder from what seemed like nowhere and his lordship did the bolt again..... the last storm i managed to cut him off at the pass and put him on a long tie for the night.. he could come and go sit where he liked but not bolt. From time to time thru the night i would be woken by DD standing on my bed drooling and panting with choked prawn eyes.... i use rescue remedy as well Helen

oh lord ! that is beyond horrific... no sleep for me tonight... i do not purchase good made in chine for a wide variety of reasons.. this just helps cement my decision. Cruelty to any living creature is not acceptable. H
