  7. have you considered DAP diffusers... may assist in defusing the anxiety. New environment appears to have unsettled the pack order and there is a bit of a struggle going on. Try not to interpret the actions using human judgements..ie one of the dogs being an *hole or whatever they are merely being dogs. H

  12. agreed!!! it is refreshing to see a council being proactive as far as reducing the numbers of animals killed each year... this is just a small start but a start nonetheless. I am looking forward to Ispwich Council becoming a leader in positive animal management H
  13. I second Jodies comments. My lucinda survived well past the prognosis of a few days to weeks to say goodbye. Lucinda was also holistically treated by the wonderful vets at All Natural Vet Care in Sydney.. also by Telephone email and discussion with Luindas primary vet Good Luck and dont FORGET TO ENJOY EACH MOMENT OF EACH DAY JUST LIKE YOUR LAB IS DOING h
  14. This is mt beloved Jake.. he has passed now but left so many wonderful memories.. At Christmas he would wear his antlers all day.... such a funny dog and way cool in his sunnies. His former owner who used jake for fighting would have been astonished/appalled at the gentle loving dog who garced my life for 6 glorious years. Christmas time is also jake memorial time H
  15. I wholeheartedly endorse these comments. My Lucinda was treated by All natural Vet care in sydney.. Lucinda outlived her oncs comment to " Take her home for a few days to say goodbye" by years.. May I also suggest joining" [email protected] or Petswithcancer also at yahoo groups. Both chock full of information and experience. Remember do not cross any bridges until you come to them, do not mourn a loss before it happens and above all Live each day to the fullest as will your beloved Daegon Helen
  16. has the dog had blood tests done.. in partucular a full thyroid panel ( yes i know i go on and on about this) i have had several dogs withthyroid problems.. two of which had initially been treated for yeast and allergies.. all symptoms cleared once an accurate dx and appropriate treatemnt started.. cheers helen ps. it is not an expensive test and if nothing else serves ti eliminate a cause. but the full panel needs to be tested not just the T4 levels

  22. that is lovely news... the dog gods work in mysterious ways and somehow the right pup/s seem to turn up at just the right time... some earlier than others. Its a great testament to Ollie that another dog is being welcomed into the home.. after all for a dog person a house is not a home without a dog or two. manes // erum.. i think I actually meant "names"....
