  6. Hi Nightgrace, welcome to showing There are a few options around Adelaide, which area do you live in and do you have a large or small dog?

Didnt know they meant free for the next hour I watched it last night, so glad I stayed up til some ridiculous hour to do so I wasn't up to watch the final parade and top ten/winners announcement this morning so now have no idea on JH results or how Tayla went Anyone know results? I can't seem to find them anywhere

  11. A friend got stuck with a dog interstate by these new requirements, we all had no idea they were coming in
  12. Group 6 in SA is very friendly, no-one has dibs on a spot. There are people who sit in the same spot every time at DSA Park, but they set up either the day before or at the crack of dawn, neither of which I am interested in doing so good luck to them! I think the banning of tarps, ropes, poles to reserve spots is great, nothing worse than having a huge area roped off for someone to swan in late & probably not even use all of that space when everyone else is squished in like sardines. I do think that all the grounds across Australia who have set ring allocations for groups probably have some of these issues arise, I hardly think that it is only the 'evil Adelaidians' and that people should avoid SA in case they get chased off by tent peg wielding space hoggers. I've shown in most states in the country and think that gazebo ettiquette is similar all over. I do have a pet hate, it is when people set up using the shade thrown by your gazebo as their shade. It means their dogs are butted right up against your dogs and it is bloody irritating, everyone should be responsible enough to bring shade for their own dogs. BTW in SA, gazebos need to be 5 metres from ringside according to SACA rules.
  13. That's great news, poor little mite and poor owner, I hope they're both ok ;)
  14. The DPI in Victoria already have a targeted program for parents and carers of children 0-4 years, We Are Family The We Are Family program is also being run in South Australia, managed by the Dog and Cat Management Board It is being presented in maternity hospitals via their pre-natal classes, and also some community health centres etc http://new.dpi.vic.gov.au/we-are-family Excellent program
  15. The main thing everyone can do for Kylie and her family is to keep up awareness, don't let Harry become last weeks news and forgotten. The email with the flyer needs to keep circulating, especially to everyone's non-showy friends, who are in turn asked to send it to all their contacts. Harry's return will depend on someone, somewhere going 'Hang on a sec, that neighbour didn't have an adult Chi before yet now they do?'. The large reward will provide some extra incentive. If anyone would like the flyer, including those interstate as he may have been taken a distance away, please PM me your email addy.
  16. There is also a poster that has been produced and it is going around in an email, with every recipient being asked to forward it to their contacts and to put it up on community noticeboards. It is also linked on the front page of DOL. If anyone would like the email so you can forward it or print and put up, please PM me with your email addy & I can send it to you
