Buying Grooming Gear From The Usa
Rottshowgirl replied to Poodle wrangler's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I would be a little wary of US eBay, I would only buy off someone with masses of + feedback who had been a member for ages. IMO online stores are a good option, especially the well-established ones that only do dog stuff. I like these guys, their service and prices are excellent. www.3cdog.com I have also never had to pay import duty/taxes on overseas doggy purchases  -
I have used Woolwash on my Rotts, but went off it as one got flaky skin from it. Not super itchy, but lots of flaking. I have since been using Laser Lites, but she is starting to have the same problem, so I am going to try the Plush Puppy low allergy shampoo and see how she goes. I use a human conditioner (whatever I am using at the time, mostly Garnier Fructis) just over their shoulders and hips, gives that little bit of extra shine without softening too much. Little OT, but how does everyone dilute their shampoo down before application? I have been using a squeezy bottle but am having trouble getting the shampoo to disperse properly in the bottle without sudsing up too much before I actually get it on the dog! I wash mine in my bathtub with a hose attachment on the tap, so hydrobath tips are no good for me

My Rottns get Dines in Vege Oil twice a week and are in great health with very glossy coats Akitaowner, Coles sell a brand called Brunswick Sardines. They are normally about $1 per can, but they have a few varieties and they have one that is sardines in olive oil. Olive oil would be really good for them and gets over the soy issue for your breed

So Innes is to blame for Neisha's 'showbiz' attitude?! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you old girl, but if your lovely grand-daughter is any indication, you were one special lady. Condolences to you and OH Allerzeit, you have had such a rough trot lately but you have shown great courage in doing what was right for Innes even at the very end. RIP Innes, run free at the Bridge. WOO WOO WOO! :D

My Beautifaul German Shephard See You At The Bridge,
Rottshowgirl replied to frank's topic in Rainbow Bridge
Not over the top Frank, that is exactly how many people on DOL feel about their beloved furkids, both here and at the Bridge. I am very sorry for your loss, Jessy sounds very special. I am a firm believer in the existance of the Bridge and just know it couldn't possibly be the last time you will see Jessy. I hope that your new puppy brings you as much joy as Jessy did. Jessy wouldn't want you to be unhappy, so enjoy your new friend and look forward to the day when you and your Jessy can be together again. Jacqui -
It must be hard for you, you would have to be trying to keep it together for your kids but your own heart is broken Hugs just for you Pandii!!! When Mali went to the Bridge I put her bowls, coats, favourite blankie and her lead in a nice large gift box in my wardrobe. I stuck a happy photo of her on the top She had a leopard print lead and I told OH that the leopard print was officially retired in our house, there will never be another dog that wears leopard print, that is Mali's pattern. Just keep Ishka's things together in something nice so that when you are feeling sad and need a cry you can take them out and you can think happy thoughts. JMHO

What Type Of Yoghurt?
Rottshowgirl replied to spoilt lab lives here's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use the Peter's European Style yoghurt and put one tablespoon in with each dinner for my Rotts. And then let them lick the spoon
