Maybe Ozziesnakes could enlighten us on who the dog belongs to and how he therefore is able to state the breed of the dog? I'm very sorry Aleah is hurt, the photos in the media look horrific but all the talk of revenge, killing the dog etc is deflecting attention from the base issue of supervision and responsibility. The breed is not the issue here, the circumstances leading up to the incident are where attention needs to be paid so there can at least be some learning outcome, not a witch hunt of the dog.

Large black cross-breed or even large black dog doesn't sound anywhere near as interesting apparently

I like Specialty Foods, 8a West Thebarton Rd Thebarton I find the guys there really helpful especially if you go in a more quiet time (Saturday mornings? Forget it, it's frantic) They are great for bones, frames etc and can mince meat up to order. I have gotten a mince mix made from lean beef, chicken frames and liver, all mixed in (I do buy 10 kilos at a time though) which is a great way to tailor a dogs diet
