Hey Moops. I missed this thread. Sorry about Scamp. You've spoken of him before, I know he meant a lot to you and your family. He sounds like a real little character so it's no wonder he made such an impact. I had a giggle at him learning how to be a cat. :D RIP Scamp.

- Which of those colours is confused? Does the pup look like that or different? It's ok lofty... the dog in that photo is Wilson the 2yr old cav is the existing dog. The puppy with the bad poos is Sally who is now 10 weeks, a cav but we have no picture. Yeah, I know. I just want to know if the new pup looks like that one. -

Do you have one or more dogs? You've said "my dog" and "our dogs" -
I believe you are slightly demented. But that's just me.

Oh no. I'm sorry, Longclaw & Norskgra. RIP Ziggy

We have to throw them in the bin, not the compost because Cody will seek them out.

What Distance Is Your Dog Swimming?
7464 replied to arawnhaus's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I have that problem with Cody. He would swim all day if I let him. Last week I took him swimming and threw a stick, he couldn't find the stick but kept searching because he knew it was there somewhere. Ten minutes later I had to go find a new stick and throw it so he'd chase it and come out of the water because he was going around and around and crying while he was still trying to find this damn stick. So to answer the OP's question, I don't know the distance. It varies anyway, by the end of summer he'll be a super swimmer again. -
Go with the jalna. More natural. Dogs don't need flavoured yoghurt.

RIP Angus. Such a beautiful boy gone way too soon. Danois, you're in my thoughts.

Could they be dislocated? Poor thing.

Silly question and my apologies if it's already been asked because I'm not reading four pages to find out. How do you pronounce titer? Is it "teeter" or "tyter" or "titter" or something else? I want to ask my vet to do the test on Cody when his vacs are due but I need to be able to say the word. Thanks in advance.

I put a few together and freeze them for my boy. He has to chew for at least a few seconds that way.

We've been to the vet this morning. Cody is probably fine. He may have the very beginnings of Puppy dementia. His eyes are a bit cloudy, no cataracts so he can't blame that for running into the door a few weeks ago. The cloudy eyes, increase in stoopid behaviour and pooping in the wrong place can be signs. Probably nothing to worry about yet, I just have to note when weird stuff happens. His pooper muscles are good and strong and the vet couldn't feel anything unusual up there. He had a cartrophen injection while we were there so he should be good for a while.
-
Was it the whole poo, busterlove? Cody's has only been an inch or so each time. Sorry Sophie is not doing too well. Cody's been on the Cartrophen, in fact I might get him a jab while I'm there next week. It's so hard when they start to get older.

Sorry Fifi, RIP beautiful Tamsyn. :D

Thanks, Dogbesotted. I hope it's something really simple and very fixable.

Cody is booked in to see the vet next Thursday. I took him in today mainly because he loves going there but also so I could weigh him. Had a chat to the nurse when I booked him in and she said it was very unusual because it is not runny and he is so happy and otherwise healthy. He weighs 33kg at the moment which I'm happy with as it's around what the vet said I should be aiming for with him. So next Thursday we will see what's going on. Oh and I forgot, when we were there a lady in the waiting room took a photo of Cody on her phone. Didn't ask or anything, just took it. Doesn't matter to me, I'd just never ever take a photo of someone's dog without their permission.
