  1. Cos things were so promising when we were there this morning GO KITEY GO!!
  2. The appointment for Kitey is 12pm!! Nevafollo is meeting me there after work so I have to somehow get the white whale into my car. One very excited Pointee Aunty here!! :D
  3. There is no way I'm sleeping with 3 (and eventually 4 or 5) Aussie Shepherds in our bed Theres hardly enough room with OH than with the dogs, and I dont think its good for pack order anyway, just like how they arent allowed on the furniture without an invite.
  4. I think mine are essential I honestly dont know where my dogs would sleep at night if I didnt have them in crates? Ours have their own crate each in their own bedroom next to each other. I wouldnt want them outside incase they barked and I wouldnt lock them up in the run together all night either because the young one would want to play all night and she is a playbarker! I could never leave the young one free range in the house either because I'm sure I would wake up one day and she'd have eaten the lounge or something ridiculous like that. It also came very much in handy when my older Aussie bitch did her shoulder last year and was on crate rest for a fortnight. She was happy to go in her crate all day and watch tv.
  5. If you want low to no shedding i'd cross the pug off the list Mums two shed more than my three aussie shepherds put together.
  6. Time to update this thread! We ended up getting the prefix GEMELO Spanish word for twin, we call Peach a twinny because she is so alike to her half sister. Nice and short and has special meaning. Thanks Lyndsay ;)
  7. Im only entered Sunday and received mine yesterday
  8. Sway can you please add my prefix? Gemelo Australian Shepherds. Ta.
  9. I would be a hypocrite if I said I wouldnt want Joe Public taking their dog to a dog show as a spectator. We took our limit register pet to shows when we were on the lookout for a show quality dog to join the family, and he still comes now and we have 3 dogs to show. He goes in his pen and plays with the others, doesnt bark or whine and isnt a nuisance. he could stay at home with my mum and dad (which is where our other pet stays when we are at shows) but he is too big and bouncy for them to control.
  10. With our Aussies we waited until they were 12 months for full runs with the bike, but we did take Sparky for a few quick spins just around the block when we were getting him used to it. He was probably between 10-12 months. Poor Peach didnt see a bike until she was about 14 months due to sheer laziness
  11. Purple, lavender and gold. Its very pretty and I cant wait to use it next weekend!
  12. I was the other person who won! Go Us!!
  13. Ive only just seen this Gherkin suited the puggy wuggy perfectly! I know its ridiculous but I'm also planning on calling Peaches babies food names, I LOVE them!
  14. it is exciting isn't it, even if you get beat Hell yes! My bitch has had competition the past 3 weeks (only 1 other bitch) but hey its better than nothing and even judges give you a startled look like wow 2 of you! Plus its good practice for the Royal as well. I love having competition. I've only once had no other Aussies for Flynn to go against - I was shocked - and I didn't go to the show expecting it! Ive had the same with Peach. I almost died when I realised I had to go in for BIG for the first time :D For what its worth, Im against having a ch. class as well.
  15. We started our training on Thursday night with a jog to see how fit my younger dog is (who will hopefully be doing the ET next year - unless she is having babies) She handled it way better than either me or my OH thought, she pulled on her lead and wanted more even after 45 minutes. So we took both Aussies for a 5km bike ride yesterday afternoon. I think they easily could have gone further than that but im so unfit I was panting and puffing by the time we got home.
  16. We call this the frog (sorry about the bad quality, from my phone) Peach does it all the time. She even gets off the lounge in 'frog position' front legs hit the floor, then she drags her back legs off, as she stretches into a playbow
  17. Our dogs are generally in the backyard when we go out, but lately they have had some sudden fascination with trying to escape, so there has been a combination of them being crated in their bedroom and outside time (and a daytrip to nannies house when I was worried about them at work last week!)
  18. Here is my newest addition (coowned with ashleyb) Meet Gossip.
  19. I've shown my girl when she was coming in/going out of season, I kept her away from other exhibitors and let the judge know before they went over her that she was in season. Neither of them seemed to have a problem with it. I'd do it again, She's an absolute tart when shes in though so it would just be a curtosy thing for me, warn other owners, and keep her away from other dogs!
  20. Depends on the judge as well! Before Peach was 12 months old we were beating dogs much older than her including a RUBOB over a grand champion. Just don't underestimate yourself or your dog!
