No problems Dotty - Looks like everyone is willing to help you! I will only have Rebel entered, and you know that he is friendly, and he loves babies! Remember how much he wanted to play with Sparky at Newcastle before going in the ring (before I even knew who you were!!). I am finished up at uni now, so if you wanted before these shows we could meet up somewhere between your place (your in Newcastle right?) and mine for a little bit of puppy training!!! All in all there will be lots of friendly people there willing to help you, so even if your puppy is naughty and wins nothing, you will still have a nice day out socialising her! ... And I can have a play! Thanks Ashley that would be fantastic! Im at Kurri so happy to drive where ever you wanted to meet up, can easily go down the coast its no drama at all. No idea, probably in the new year because I wont be getting my gazebo until christmas, she would be old enough for moriset though.. Not sure if you wanted to drive out to Cessnock, but we get all our pet mince and chicken carcasses (they also do minced chicken frame) at a place on the main road there, and its very cheap - minced chicken frame for $1 per kg, beef from 3.30 per kg and roo for 3.50 per kg, chicken frames are .90c a kg

Im going to be a newbie to the show ring very very soon and am very very scared! We are getting another Aussie who will be our first showdog.. Planning on going to Hillsborough for show training, does it close over christmas? Do I have to enroll or anything or just show up? and how old do puppies have to be to attend?

Midgets are the bestest Lyndsay Yep thats what I've found too, sometime a little more than $1000, but that was with a rebate with proof of desexing. I got my first Aussie ealy this year, and boy is he a handful. But he is my first working breed as well, so very different to what I am used to.. I have a pug and a foxie, chihuahua cross! Im sure you'll be happy with whichever you end up choosing, Sparky is SO much fun, and Just the other day, he learnt to swim Proud mother photos, coming through!

Thanks for the replies guys, The guy was really concerned about their spines cutting their gums and getting stuck in their throats.. He even asked all of the other workers if they knew of anything I could give them. I guess its not something they get asked very often!

I went to the fish co-op today for some fish, and asked the poor man there if there was any fish that I could feed to the dogs whole. Well he had no idea, but gave me a ray fin for them to eat, he gives them to his dog.. So before I confuse anyone else, does anybody else feed whole fish to their dogs? or am I better to stay with fillets, due to the lack of bones?

Gherks will play fetch too, by herself, but gets distracted by other dogs.. Monica, Can I ask if your dog is a crossbred, Pugs only come in black, fawn and apricot as far as I know..

Gherky is a pro swimmer.. not all pugs can't swim!

We are out at Kurri so we do a 40 minute trip - good thing the dogs are good in the car!! Just wanted to bump this to find out how you went?

We just completed puppy preschool with Nicole from Lambton vet, Thought it was great, we're more than likely changing clinics to lambton from now on (and it was a bonus because they actually knew what my Aussie shepherd puppy was!) Goodluck with getting some answers for Lizzy
