My boy is quite happy to live on a 40-60 minute walk every day, some days he isn't walked at all for various reasons, and he copes fine. Can't comment on my girl because she isn't old enough to walk that far yet. Mine are both happy to be quiet inside, unless one of the cats runs, then its game on.. Generally they are quite happy to laze around on the floor or on one of the lounges. Neither of mine are aggressive in the slightest either, Ive never met an agressive one ive had dramas with my boy eatings things he shouldnt, but other than that, love them to bits and dont think i'll ever be without one

I would expect my dogs to act the same as well! Our big dogs sleep in crates at night unless OH is away for work, then they sleep on the bed, just incase.. I think my 6kg foxie cross would be the worst offender though, she wouldn't let anyone in the house letalone the bedroom.. I call them my '4bark alarm system' ;)

I go to show training once a week Littlehoot, Helps heaps with bits and pieces, I wasn't sure when to start moving peach faster and things like that so its nice to have someone to help and see her progress (and who isnt biased like me and who doesnt see her all the time)
-
Bec im hoping we'll still be around for group too, I'm pushing in on Ash's gazebo though because it will just be me and peach, I'll stay and keep you company! Will be good to actually get to use my own camera and get some photos too..
-
Don't worry Bec I'll be there early too! Damn A breed! Just think, hopefully it'll all be over before it gets really hot!

I have a friend who is about to get a labrador from a BYBer. her excuse when I said all about hip scores and dysplasia was "insert name here" has a pup from the previous litter and theres nothing wrong with it and im sure "insert BYBers name here" wouldnt breed from them if they weren't healthy. So I ask, do you know their hipscore? Um no, I wouldnt have a clue I havent asked her anything like that. Secretly im hoping this puppy eats their $30k worth of backyard landscaping to teach them a lesson. I know that behaviour has nothing to do with breeding generally, but it'll just make me feel better for her not listening to me at all

Yep looks like i'm going to Gunnedah, was going to do Canberra but my sister won't let the dogs sleep inside (even in their crates) so I won't go ;) Fingers crossed I can get the time off work!
-
Im pretty sure Peach was the one who ate a quarter of my chicken.. Why did I get the naughty one!?
-
Gorgeous! Holly is such a good girl! Her naughty half sister would have eaten it
-
Sammy B is lying! All kite is going to do is try to squash your poor baby!! Mean Pointee!
-
Oh, and happy page 100 everyone!
-
Yep we'll be there next fortnight should work out well! And Peach only moved like a pro in public cos shes such a well behaved little squidge! At home its a different story And Sammy, of course Peach is the prettiest, no second rate Aussies in my house! LOL
-
LOL! When we moved into the house the list was between Danes, GSP's and Aussies. Aussies won obviously but that was more of an energy thing - and a looks thing on my behalf! That and they are so smart.. which can be a bad thing as well!
-
Danes clash worse with Aussies And wont fit in our house.
-
I'm all for coming to Hillsborough one week too, Im pretty sure next times will suit. Fiona your new boy is soo cute, when OH eventually gets a show dog (in like 4 years LOL) it'll be a GSP we think!
-
So when we go head to head for baby of breed at Medowie The Ark, which one of us is going to win!? hehe! Cant wait to meet the little pug man Sammy, I get to meet him tomorrow! so to everyone else! Our next show is Medowie, but we are only doing the Sunday.
-
Really TheArk, who wouldnt be hanging in one of the best threads of them all Glad you are keeping a boy, tail and all! Peach is going to like him.. She has a 'thing' for tails.. Congratulations Freckles!
-
poor Sparky Nobody lubs him Can't say Im over eager to give him cuddles at the moment though!
-
Sammy you are quite welcome to cuddle either of my 'babies' although you may not want to.. Peach doesnt sit still ands bounces to lick your face, and Sparky gave me a black eye on Saturday
-
Yep I doubt I'll make it either on Tuesday, Im working until 3 but its Andys birthday and he still has no idea what he's doing for it.. If its nothing then Im going!
-
Im at Kurri and Sammy is at Cessnock so its a fair drive for us too.. maybe we could meet somewhere further towards the middle for all of us.. although not sure where that would be. We definately need to meet up again Once the pups are big enough to come out to play. Pooey I dont do Saturday shows as I work, Hillsborough was an exception due to the baby shower.
-
Congratulations Erin! She is beautiful! We have only done two weekends worth of showing so still extra new as well.. I didn't take Peach to show training until she had her second vaccination, just in case! Anyone up for some Newcastle training in the next couple of weeks? I know some of you are doing Morisset next Saturday, then both Sammy B and I are heading up to Armidale for the shows on the 5th 6th and 7th.. would love to meet up to have some more practice with others.. Hillsborough may not be the best idea for a meet up spot though, unless someone can contact the caretaker

My 'problem' dog, is my almost 12 month old Aussie Shepherd. I chose Jumping up on People Pulling my arm out of its socket However, they are getting better and better with more training, and I also chose I would get a trainer (if needed) We also used to have a problem with yard destruction and hole digging until we built him a giant sandpit in the yard.. Now the problem is getting him out!
-
They get over it soon enough Peach is a tanty thrower too.. Even our show trainer said yesterday that she was glad to see peach not be such an angel because she was jumping all over Sparky and trying to pull his ears off
-
Sparky goes and he is fine with it He just sits on the sidelines and watches or OH takes him for a walk.
