  1. Thanks Bellatrix I love this lense Love the one of your Cav so cute.. My 5 yo daughter has a cavalier on top of her list
  2. Im not looking from a business point of view. Id just like a good camera that I can learn more about my photography with that I wont be too limited by. I did an introductry course with my sony & I was the only person with a sony & the instructor kept having to work things out on my camera because it was different to everyone elses & he'd never seen one before. I did mean $5,000ish, but i would be looking to buy a lense or two with a body. I will check out those others sites now Krislin Thanks so much for the input & advice
  3. I wouldve called him "squirt" Good luck OM
  4. Price isnt a huge issue but I guess I was thinking around $5000ish Im interested in landscape & portrait photography (people & pooches :D ). Id like to go to either a canon or nikon for greater range of options in lenses & accessories.
  5. A few shots I took at my sisters wedding last weekend... I was in the bridal party as were my children so didnt have much time to take photos.. but I managed to snap a few quick ones.. First up, my beautiful kids My kids and my cousins My Son & my Mum My daughter getting her hair done
  6. Hello knowledgable photo taking Dolers Im starting to do some research into my next camera. My current camera is a Sony A200. But I'm thinking about doing a few courses & learning more about photography. My sister got married on the weekend & she had the most lovely photographer with an equally lovely 5D MkII. She complimented me on the portraits I had taken for the wedding handouts, signature board & thank you's which I was stoked about Anyway I'd like some recomendations for my next camera, given my current camera is a very basic entry level camera, what should I look at? I have a friend who has just bought a 50D & really likes it & suggested I look at it as an option? I look forward to everyones feedback Lic

    Rottweiler

How much preparation is involved in showing a rottweiler?
  8. Fingers crossed it all went well and the family are too busy playing with young Christian Looking forward to an update though
  9. Hmmm, I am thinking why tell them you have kids if it's held against you???. Because its honest and its the right thing to do?! I would think being honest would be rather crucial in developing a relationship with a breeder that you are hoping will trust you enough to place on of their babies in your home. Good luck with Christian Italmum Not necessarily. Because a breeder has formed a dislike of placing puppies with children families from a bad experience once, the breeder has no rights to tar every children family with the same brush and reject them on that basis. The parents of the children family have more insight into their childs behaviour with animals than a breeder will ever know. Some breeders get too carried away with own opnions which are not always right in the scheme of things. More to the point, this behaviour only drives people to pet shops and BYB's when being open and honest results in rejection and too much hassle. I understand what you are saying and agree to a point. I just think that everyone is entitled to an opinion, particularly when it comes to something as important as determining an appropriate home for a puppy they have bred. As a breeder they have the right to discriminate if they so choose, they know their dogs and progeny better than a prospective buyer. Just as a parent knows their children better than a stranger. I believe its more important to find a breeder and develop an honest relationship. Then if that breeder decides your home is an environment they would be comfortable placing one of their babies it is for the right reasons. In the interest of ongoing support and having the right pup for your family I would much rather tell the truth from the start.

  11. I know who it is so dont worry i am steering clear, I am going to meet with some breeders at the shows etc..just to let people know who i am. I am glad you were able to find dogs with your kids so young, I think also though the cksc is more of a toy dog, so the breeders are very selective with who they choose. I have shown interest now i a 4 yr old bitch that is going to become avail in june never been around kids though so i will see where that goes. I personally would be very hesitant to bring a dog that has never been around kids into my home with kids... but thats just me. I hope you can find the perfect dog soon.
