I have always told my customers to put a windcheater that has been worn by them in with the pup. That was they feel a little more secure having your smells around them. As Shek said, you cant keep changing doing all types of things to distract it, do one thing only. If you keep going in then the puppy has won. Just let him scream. A ticking clock usually works as they think it sounds like a heart beat from their mum or siblings. Just put this under the windcheater.

I had one like that 2 weeks ago and charged them $100.00. Stuff em, 3 blades got blunt from all the dirt and crap in there, took 2 hours and stripped off like sheeps wool all one piece. Was a major bitch and time consuming. Think the dog was the only one happy in the end.

agree with shek. It doesnt hurt them to do without. I just take the food away, if they wont eat it in the morning then I try again that night. If they do it again I wont offer for another day. They soon get hungry. With the diahrea, once you are able to get him to eat, chicken and rice is good to bound him up. Maybe even try giving chicken necks, works for my dogs if they get the shits

Awwwwwwwww Max is gorgeous Shek Noticed noone can answer your question lol. I put it to all the dead sperm being stuck there I once owned an American Cocker, and he had hair all the way to the ground. My friend and her husband come visiting. Anyway this dog had so much hair he looked like a mop He was laying on his back and my friend started rubbing his belly, atleast she thought she way Her husband and I just looked at eachother looked at her and pissed ourselves laughing. She was sure why till she looked down and seen she wasnt rubbing the belly but his dicky do di :p We thought it was funny cause she couldnt tell one end of him from the other with all the coat he had. Needless to say the dog was very happy and her hand ended up getting touched with his lipstick as it come out Sorry shek, another :D

Human Clippers Versus Dog Clippers?
Sivvy replied to BT-Argo's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
easy, depends on the coat sometimes to what blade we use. And also if the coat is that soft you can wash, blowdry the dog first and you will find it easy to get the blade through. I dont like combs on poodles, prefer to scissor. -
Human Clippers Versus Dog Clippers?

Well I've been clipping show dogs for over 30 years so I'd count myself as a professional. I've always used Osters, I agree that they tend to get hot, but they last very well and I've never had a problem with them. I have only replaced my clippers once and my first Oster clippers lasted for 25 years. Same here, my mother was a showy/groomer for others also, she had hers 25 yrs also. Then she died, I still have them and she has been dead 8 yrs. I have 2 sets of Oster here, I love em and wouldnt consider replacing them. -

I am a groomer, I am a professional and I wouldnt change. I have friends down here that have tried the wahl, and said they were happy for a year or so and *poof* back to oster. -

Sorry but this groomer would use nothing but Oster. Thats crap. I really like them and still find that wahl breaks down alot quicker. The ones I have have lasted me for such a long time. Never have let me down. Curious, please dont try and clip yourself though, its not that easy and if you nick or cut the pup it will be a bugger to do with anyone. And you wont know how to handle a puppy thats frightened of the noise. If you want to try atleast wait till puppy is use to it. -
the bowen technique is suppose to be fantastic too.

Oh and forgot to say, one of my bitchs looked like she had hip probs. She kept leaning this way after a lab :p jumped on her. (at play) , the chiro popped three disks back in to place. This she had to see him a couple of times and alot of massaging. But again nearly instant results except when you touched her back you could see she was tender. Edited cause I always add words where they arent suppose to be.

Ok Gotta, as I keep telling you, half the time ppl just waste their money on vets. He may have his leg or should or neck or back out. I use a chiropractor on my dogs. If they are lame, if they cross step all of a sudden or if they look awkward in their movement this is the first step I have always taken. Most dogs will run around like idiots and all it takes is a turn to pull themselves out. It really doesnt take much, humans arent the only one who need seeing chiros. The dogs dont show any pain when they are lame, or moving awkward, but 9 out of 10 times you can guarantee they have done something to themselves. For the sake of 10 to 15 dollars, its well worth getting this checked out. They will go over your dogs whole body and most of the time because its been left this long you will only have to massage the dog where the chiro tells you too after they have fixed them as their muscles are weak and this gets its active again. If this fails then you may have something major on your hands, but if his back or whatever is out you will know very quickly. Mostly instant results.

Poodles, Border Collies & Labs are very intelligent, some other breeds to but Im too tired to think off hand. And the answer to your question, is there are alot of dogs that will take you a long time to teach/train. No they all definately do not have the same learning capacity.

OMG and what are your dogs doing in your undies They're not in my undies but Rinse's hair is on everything that goes in the wash... Its transferrence I'm sure Ok I'll accept that cause it happens to me too.

oh god tell me about it. ive been shaving at least one a day down to a #7 or #10! i *hate* cocker hair!! it sticks in everywhere!! and its so prickly! OMG Poodle hair prickly, try terrior hair, its wirey and it pricks.

What breed of dog do u have, I have issues with Cortisone, lots of my customers have had their pets on this and when they are older most have lost most of their hair. Maltese, shih tzues and poodles. I wouldnt touch it
-
Yep happens alot, but hangin on a clothesline doesnt help the fine prickly coarse type hair from wirey coat dogs. Nothing worse than taking a bath and having to pluck your boobies neither. Now I just use an apron that is like a jacket type that wont let the hair get through your clothes.
-
I hate doing all breeds, Just so sick to death of grooming ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Wonder why.

I had a litter that nearly died after their first vaccination. The went off thier food, had diahhroea, and had no energy. This happened 6 hrs after their shots. They dropped more than half their body weight in a day so its best to get a vet check your puppy. I nearly lost mine, but with alot of effort they survived JUST.
