Hi guys (Bron is a 46kg BMx who is approximately 9 years of age). He is in great nic in my mind and I never 'feel' like I have an aged dog... until now!... I arrived home to a sad and miserable Bronson last night Poor boy is obviously feeling the cold and is getting stiff and sore. I have been trying to work out what supplements I could/should ge to aid his aching bones and this one came up. Anyone know of it? Also... has anyone tried the deer antler velvet by chance?

Dammit! Me and Juno would be in on that too! It's the photographer and costumes that have me waiting until 2012's competition! Maybe have a look in the pitbull and amstaff threads and see if there is someone who might give it a crack? hopefully you'll find someone! Edited: A-B-C Will post pics If I get some Merch! Absolutely in love with all their products! Juno's b'day is soon so maybe a present for her and one for me for being an awesome mum :D Can't wait for the pics Sezz!

Oh yay!!... welcome to DOL PU4PB!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to pop in and clarify things for us! Thanks also for all that you are doing for the needy pit bull and their 'types'!
-
Ooo yay more interest! :D Lok you should have a go yourself! :p Jack I think you'd be fine with the 'pit bull type'. You could always email them to double check...;)

How good does that feel!!!!!!!!! My class had their final prac assessments the weekend before Easter. Had Easter to chiiiiiiiiiiiill and relish NO HOMEWORK!!! Now I find myself a tad lost without the pressure of it all, and have found out that even with all the extra free to air channels, tv is seriously lacking. It felt awesome!! although now, just have to wait to see if I pass! I'm hearing ya!

I've just finished the Cert III and loved every minute of it!!!! Didn't do it DL though. Katie, who is the Course Co-Ordinator, does a great job. She has only had the job for a couple of months, so perhaps send an email to make sure you haven't slipped through newbie any cracks. Be open minded and be prepared for an onslaught of information!!! As I said I lurrrrrrved the course... I have, however, finished with a thirst for even more knowledge. ;) :p

Def still considering... just not sure whether I'll get my A into G quick enough. I lived about 25km south of Shepp. Completely get your loving the space etc... I miss the country every day! (eta: and so do the dogs)

Just looking at the site a bit better. FURgotten hero's is the theme for the 2012 calendar. Circus type style was last year.

Looking at this years and years past entries there is a lot of variation in their beautiful bully models. I say give it a crack It would be awesome to see an Aussie entrant. You're also allowed to include other dogs in the pic as long as there is at least one pitbull type/bully breed dog in the pic if any of your others want to get in on the lime light! Tails:Thanks for posting!! Absolutley, thanks Tails! Thinking I'll look into it. Would be sooooooo much fun! Have always thought it would be great to dress China up as a clown, Bron as a Lion and me as the ringmaster... I'm sure doing that pin up style would be even more fun! :) How bout you Sezz? (ot... I see you're in the GV. I lived up that way for a couple of years).

Where abouts are you staying Kelpiegal? (though they are probably booked out by now )

I love these guys and follow them on Facebook. Would love to do a pic for their calendar. Recon it'd be ever so much fun. Wonder if China would fit the description of PB type...

Hiho... am about to fire off an email for a sample.

Thanks heaps for that info piper. I thought that that might be the case. Would you recommend any areas at all? How about trainers/puppy pre school?

Hi crew A friend of mine has just got herself (and family) a gorgeous young pupster. I have been speaking with her regarding the importance of vaccination etc, but also the importance of socialisation and not keeping him under lock and key until the vacc's kick in. She was saying that there is a rather large stray dog (or camp dog I think she called it) population. So I am presuming that these dogs wouldn't be vaccinated etc... in considering this, does any Alice residents (or anyone else that might know of course) know whether parvo etc is a problem in the area? Thanks in advance ABC

Hugest congrats to you both Ruthy!!!

;) Thanks Lab_Rat. I think that they are rather gorgeous too Am definitely a fan of BA's!... anything 'boof head' really. ;) ;) thanks jade. :D She's lucky she's so beautiful sometimes.
-
they're lucky they're adorable eh. ;) Haha, not a bad/embarrassing question at all as they are both rescue mutts :D Bron was originally sold as a pb Bullmastiff, but there's no way he is... so I say he's BM x China is microchipped as a Bull Arab x... I sprung her from Hay pound, so I'd say she's bred to chase pigs (I'd also say that she'd be pretty darned good at it if he got the chance... a tad psycho too perhaps lol) Guessing at breeds... BA's are based on Bull Terrier, Greyhound and GSP x generally, which she could most definitely have in there... I'd say there's also AmStaff (or the like) and knows what else. She's sheer athleticism through and through. ETA: tried to post an up to date pic in the pics thread, but haven't posted in so long it has closed. That's what happens when I move off the gorgeous farm I was on. Now live in the city... the camera hardly comes out any more. ;) Here's one taken the other weekend at my OH's place though ;)
-
Naw, thanks. That's my big, stubborn, pig headed Bron. I used to have a thread in the photos section of these guys... ummmm, yup here it is: Bronson & China Haven't updated it in a while. ;)
-
Yup, the vets said due to the spider being dead and China's size (she's 34kg) all should be fine (on both the spider and spray front). Yes, he's lucky he's gone to bed... I just don't get why he would stand there, watch her eat it and then announce to me that she had done it... what idiot does that??? The sort that gets booted out the door at the first opportunity. Me likey your thinking Sheridan.

Thanks corvus!
