Thanks guys. Clyde thanks for the compliments - It is great being able to let them explore... made possible by being the a farm and having dogs that fortunately check-in all the time and have a good recall. That pic of them looking over the river is definitely one of my favourite pics. I love the pics of them 'with nature' - thankfully - as it is all I seem to take. Everyone has such gorgeous posed pics... my two look like dorks when I try to do that. They love to be out and about... bit like me really come to think of it.

Thanks Roc. China is definitely a growing girl. I keep looking at her wondering what size she will be - will have to wait and see hey! Bron thought he was sooooo cool in the PV! Was rather funny.

Thought I would post some pics from tonight. It was V hot today so I took the pooches down to the river. They love it down there. It seems that China is a swimmer AND A TREE CLIMBER :D Bronson didn't want a bar of it ;) Wassat? Taking it all innnn eta: there are a few more of Bron in the BM thread BM's if you are wanting more

Oh wow that is a great idea. I had never thought of that ... Bron would take much longer to go through a turkey frame.
-
Thanks Rocco. I was amazed how long China left her's on for tbh. I pretty much expected her to want to chew it to bits. They were good sports almost til the end.

Know what you mean luvabull. the pooches definitely were fed up with the whole xmas scenario by the end. You should see some of the one I culled... :D

Thanks Sam&Saki. Yeah I really like that fifth pic too.

Was having an xmas photoshoot and thought I would add a couple of pics here. As everyone has predicted already, China is now officially a FF. Each time I try and finish her write up I just can't do it. She is such a gorgeous girl and Bron is loving having a doggie companion. I could gush about her all day really. Merry Christmas everyone

Hi all I have only just discovered this section... madness! I have always been interested in the tricks side of things, but have generally been happy with a well behaved dog who has manners and knows the basics. I now have a young gal, China, who is super smart and is going to get very bored very quickly if I don't do the extra stuff. A bit of background, China is approx 7-8 mths large x-breed, smart as a tack and loves anything involving attention (of course ). She picked up the usual stuff - sit, drop, sit stay, drop stay, up (from drop to sit) etc very fast and I now find myself at the limits of my so-called trick knowledge. Is there an order of tricks that I should go in? I was thinking I would try and teach her roll over/play dead and shake/high 5 next. Are there tricks I shouldn't try til she is older? Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks in advance. A pic of my gorgeous gal...

Trish I was waiting for you to discover this thread... China's description is half done...

I knew you'd say that! She was a bit lame last week due to Bronson creaming her too often, so had been waiting for that to recover before listing her. Then this weekend (when fully recovered) Bron creamed her again and now she's lame on the other foot. She is her worst enemy really, as she does these spins infront of him as they are playing and Bron just steamrolls her (at awkward angles unfortunately). *sigh* Maybe she knows what I am thinking and does this on purpose so she can stay... hmmm Thanks for the compliments. Everyone on here takes such great pics, it is an inspiration. I am having so much fun taking pics, though only have a point and shoot camera so am a tad limited on what I can do. Plus catching China sitting still is a feat in itself. Thanks BNHA. I am not normally a massive fan of brindles, but agree that China's is lovely.

Thanks polomum I think they are pretty gorgeous, but I may be bias Yup the farm is where I live. I live about 25km south of Shepparton, Vic. It is fabulous being able to walk the dogs around approx 1000 acres (from my understanding the farm is around this size - unfortunately it is not my farm ) Pretty much all of the pics I have are of the dogs 'with nature'. You nearly got it right... China is the gorgeous brindle from Hay pound. She has been here with me for nearly a month. She is also supposed to be rehomed... I keep reconsidering that decision

Hi all I have posted a few pics in various threads of Bron and China, but thought that I would start a thread here to share the love. The ever gorgeous Bronson China (Doll) aka Mischief Together The farm

Bronson is a Bullmastiff too. He is soooo clean. I recon he would be mortified if he ever had a misshap. Did you ever crate or contain the youngsters or have they always been able to access you to wake you? China is locked in the laundry of a night at the moment. China is a pretty clean girl too tbh, which is why I wonder whether her carry on is due to her wanting to go out. (especially last night as it was raining and she didn't want to 'go').
-
Thanks mollasseslass. May I ask how old your dogs are? Did you train them regarding this from a young age? I am the same, I would prefer she woke me if she needed to go out. I am just worried about reinforcing the behaviour inadvertantly. Bronson (who is 4) only wakes me if he needs to go out and I am more than fine with that.

Hi all I have recently rescued China, a Bull Arab x girl who is approx 6 - 7 months of age. She is settling in really well thankfully. The last few nights China has woken up quite early (5.30ish) and carried on wanting to get out. China is pretty good re toileting outside etc, and I am thinking that when she wakes up at this time and carries on it might possibly to go out to the loo. I have ignored her carry on til she has calmed etc. So the question is, if I was to get up and let her out when she wakes is that rewarding the 'negative' behaviour or should I be happy that she is wanting to go out (if that is what she is wanting of course). This morning I did get up to her and let her out then put her back to bed. China was more settled but didn't settle completely. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Koolietas where do you get all of the variety of above? I find it a challenge to find lamb necks and marrow bones half the time.

Oh man. Good thing we have plenty to treat it with at the farm. Thanks Kharn.

Hi all I have recently moved to Victoria and live on a Thoroughbred Stud. The young stock on the farm have been working through a ring worm infection over the last few weeks. My dog Bronson has a wound on his head. Originally I thought he had somehow walked into a burning stick as when it first turned up we had lit a huge bonfire and he walks around with his head in the clouds the majority of the time (it seriously wouldn't surprise me tbh). But it has taken longer to heal than I expected and is looking like it might be ringworm. Does anyone know whether dogs are able to get infected from horses? Is it the same worm? Bron doesn't really go near the horses, but I am sure he would have been in contact with things that have been in contact with them. Thanks in advance. Alyssa
