Sorry, may I asked what you mean with "do not let them scruff your dog"? I'm not familiar with the term "scruff", doesn't that mean taking him on the neck? Yes. From what I have seen they lift the puppy completely off the ground and release it when the puppy stops screaming and becomes submissive. Now this is a stranger to your puppy doing this on the first meeting. For me in my mind that reinforces in a puppy not to trust strangers. But that's just my opinion and I'm certainly not a dog trainer. Pine Rivers do not use that method of training.

I've used both Dayboro and Pine Rivers. I would strongly recommend Pine Rivers over Dayboro for puppy preschool. If you do go to Dayboro my advice is do not let them scruff your dog.
