My two are Mutts (pound dog and intercepted on the way to the pound dog) so heavily x'd I wouldn't have a clue what could be in them... It's a bit of a lucky dip with mutts.... lol I love them to absolute pieces though! I would like to think my next dog will be a papered pure-bred... but I'm just such a bleeding heart.... We'll see... Pure-bred is great, Rescue is great (Pure-bred or x-bred). Backyard breeders and DD breeders... for shame :D Anyways I'm not judging anyone... (obviously beside BYB & DD "breeders" )

Sheesh! I didn't know what this was so I googled it and got "caught up" (hit cancel if you want to sign up!) trying to get back out.... Go to obedience = Winner! Go to Kohler website != Fail!

Congratulations :D

^ This... + 1 I hope the little fellow is ok... What a tragedy ;)

Your right... Janba... We don't know all the facts I might have been hasty to judge.... ETA.... but it still seems a bit.... fishy.... I just hope the dogs are ok
-
Wouldn't you hope a person breeding "any dog" would take the sire to the vet if it was hit by a car? And I'm pretty sure that when they collect semen... It isn't a bungled handjob.... into a condom.. Wouldn't a ethical breeder take their dog to a professional person or place who does that... kind of thing.... I don't know... but it seems pretty wrong to me But your right... I don't know...

That's...Just.... So wrong

I agree with MM maybe the emotions you are feeling now are similar (in a way) to the emotions you felt then... And that triggers the memories.... I would add to the feelings of loss and heartache... perhaps... abandonment... I know it might seem unnecessary but maybe having a chat with a counselor might help :D It certainly couldn't hurt I'm sorry your going through a tough time Stef... Chin Up! x o x o Okami

I'm one of those people who have dogs who can't have bones.... (They do get wing tips and chicken frames) but.... Steve has issues with being left alone with a meaty bone... He guards his tail from it, I learned this the hard way when thinking I was doing the right thing, gave him one and he attacked himself So designated supervised meals fixed that problem but..... he also has a "hillbilly" tooth... his left canine points horizontal rather than vertical and he collects plaque and calculus around this tooth, So I do my best to get in there once a week or so and scrub it... and do the rest while I'm at it.... Although at our last Vet check I was told if he ever needs to have a general anesthetic I should look at getting the tooth removed. Seeing as I'm doing his I do Kara's too... I have noticed she gets a build up on a couple of molars... I just use a regular toothbrush (separate one for each dog), no toothpaste and lots of praise when they let me :D

There's alway the douches that have to come and be negative to cause a thread lockdown.. I would like to see them in other peoples shoes sometimes. ^ + 1 I don't know.... but if there are some personal issues.... which may have been very vaguely alluded to ... I think they should be kept where they belong.... in PM... I'm not saying people are wrong.... because I don't know.... but I certainly can say some people have gone the wrong way about expressing themselves. You don't make friends with Snarky! x o x o

Yes, this thread has become.... very sad.... And not what it was ever intended to be..... I hope Troy shuts it down....

OMG.... That poor girl

Hey Brooke, I wish I had some constructive advice to offer you... Instead I offer my compassion and support. It sounds like you are trying to do the right thing :D and I wish you and Ben all the best x o x o

That! is absolutely appalling! Poor dogs
-
I feel incredibly sad for the poor puppy But I don't know if I think it's right to judge the owners... We don't know them, their situation, or how they feel about this emotionally.... Personally I would do absolutely everything in my power to save my dogs. Who knows maybe they exhausted all their options before coming to this very sad decision too I agree with Aussie3 I hope they don't "replace" the dog until they are better able to deal with the expense

I personally think the fines are excessive.

lol, I thought Kelpie too.... then saw where... and when.... and it's a bit tall Why not GSD or perhaps GSDX? which was my second immediate thought.... I mean the breed has had a somewhat varied look throughout time Don't mind me I'm not the expert hope you get a conclusive answer
