  1. I have never had anything to do with parvo but is it possible that there could be the odd pup out there that even at a young age could be subjected to the virus and not get it? but pup another pup in the same place and it could be a totally different story?
  2. Maybe I was just having an over judgmental day. Everyone is different and takes things differently.
  3. Yes they were blue. Just incase anyone takes it the wrong way, I was not being genuine with my enquiry, I am not in the market for a pup just wanted to see the reply I would get to that type of email, if any.
  4. I honestly just thought there would be more questions up front, but now I do see where you are all coming from, and I didnt think about how lots of questions upfront may turn people off and they may go to a pet shop or byb. Anyway here is the repsonse I got: thanks for the email we ciurrently have 5 puppies available. male 3,4 and 5 females 1 and3. puppies areall ready to go in 3 weeks time. all puppies are sold with main pedigree papers all going for 2000. if you have any enquireis pls let us no asap as pups are going quick. I just wanted to see how they would respond to the enquiry I sent, my bad :D sorry.
  5. The other day there was a thread about someone after a staffy pup and they were originally deciding between 2 registered breeders, one seemed quite dodgy after looking at their website so I shot them off an email just to see what sort of response I would get, this is my email to them in it's entirity: "How much are your pups? Do you have any left out of the litter shown on here? And if you do how soon could I pick one up?" and unfortunately I got a very positive response, they were more than willing to sell me a pup. Ethical breeders look far more into who they sell pups to aren't they? Please tell me they are. I find it very sad that people like this can become registered breeders but I do understand it must be very hard for the canine council to monitor these sorts of things.
  6. OMG I have only just opened my mail after getting home from holidays to find that after I signed up they have printed 10 post cards with my Froggy on it for me and they have done a poster with one of those big collage (sp) pictures with a dog and a cat giving each other a high five, it is so cool it is made up of thousands of tiny pictures of all the dogs that signed up and I have managed to find my Froggy in the tiny pictures!! It is pretty cool. I will see if I can find a picture of it on line to attach :D Made my day it did
  7. Hope you're feeling better soon, any news on when you are moving? Maybe we should get a few walks in togther (or at least some training) before you go. I'm in with this! I have been away for a month and have missed walking . Technically I didn't walk the dogs today but I hope I can be forgiven for that, got off the Spirit Of Tasmania at 7.30am, drove 8 hours home, played with 2 of our dogs who were estatic to see us, then went and picked Froggy up from the kennels and she drug me out of there SO fast (don't think she enjoyed it there) then got her home and all the dogs and I played for an hour. The walks start first thing in the morning!
  8. They are beautiful!! I especially love the one of Froggy shaking off the dead grass after rolling
  9. Can we get an exact address please? Just looked up Luddenham Rd, is it at the Bill Spilstead Complex? Thanks
  10. Looks like I am heading to Sydney on Friday night now so I will be able to make it on Saturday morning!! I can't wait!!
  11. Catalogues which makes it very hard to go sit in the back yard and read them, dog goes NUTS and tries to steal them from me. She thinks it's Christmas at this time of year with the over load of catalogues arriving in the letter box
  12. A lot of DVD players are multi region players these days, maybe you could have a look on your player and see if it says anywhere on it if it is multi region? Or maybe in its instruction guide if you still have it.
  13. Mine will be having four weeks off training all together. I am going away for a month with out them - not sure how I will go without them for so long but it just would not be practical to take them with us as it is a 4 weekoad trip to Vic, Tas and SA and with the weather down that way at the moment it wouldn't be fair for them to be sitting on the back of a ute.
  14. I will: get back into agility trials (after not doing any for 2 and a half years) Stimpy will: be taught to weave. Froggy will: have a LOT of work done on not becoming distracted in the middle of an agility course, and hopefully this will result in her having more clear runs AND hopefully this will lead to some titles, but if this does not happen I really won't be phased, as long as we both love it we will keep doing it.
  15. Ooh I would love to come! I will be in Sydney on the 12th for a trial, it doesn't start til 3.30 and it's only 15 min from Erskine Park, so maybe I will arrange to come down a bit earlier....hmmm, would be fun I think.
  16. Love it!! Just hope he doesn't get to the stage where he wants her eye contact and does the food spitting method
  17. I met Buddy on the weekend and he is a stunning dog , if the time were right I would be keen for him to be coming home to live with me.
  18. Thanks for everyone's input, I will send her here to read all this and maybe she can learn more about BB's and other breeds as well and she can go from there.
  19. A few years ago I made my dad a pets of the past DVD for Christmas. It took me weeks to compile, I went through photos from when he was a kid in the 50's and found pictures of his GSD's, his horses and even his guinea pigs, and went right through all the animals we had lost through my child hood as well. Making it was a really beautiful experience for me and he loved then end result.
  20. What did she think she would have to pay? Initially I think she was thinking around the $1000 mark.
  21. A girl I work with is looking at buying a British Bulldog but has been shocked at the $2800 price tag the breeder was after, is this a normal sort of price or is it a bit high? It was PB with main register papers. I have no real idea what they usually go for and told her I would ask here.
  22. In your situation I would cremate. I live in town, own my own house but I don't plan on being here forever. On my parents property where I grew up we have a pet cemetery so that is where my pets go. It is becoming quite large now - it has been there for 23years - and my poor old horse who is 33 is even going to be buried there. Here grave was been dug 2 winters ago as we thought we were going to lose her, but she continues to battle on and has made it through another freezing winter. Mind you I did go cover the grave up with mesh and boards as I was paranoid she may fall in it
