  1. I have run out and thrown the container out . Anyone know where I can get cholesterol cream its a 500gram container in qld or know a mail order place/web site? Thanks
  2. I rang then a while ago and was told they didnt do desexing for the general public
  3. Can any one recommend a vet that is decent in price. I need another Just took one of my rescue dogs (4kilos) in for a C3 vac and checkup $91 To desex him is $192 any pain relief is extra $35 To me this is just to expensive, both testies are hanging so its simple surgery
  4. Sorry to hear you have lost your sweet girl
  5. That was my guess as well. In the last couple of days he has shown other signs and I think I will need to do the right thing by him early next week. Having trouble getting up, walking extremely stiffly, back end shakes uncontrollably, barking at nothing, walking into walls and growling when there is nothing near him and snapping at nothing, closest dog can be 6ft + away Then when I think its time to go be bounces around like a nut for a few minutes and looks at me like "how dare you even think that". Bloody dogs
  6. I had apple cider vinegar in the water but didn't seem to be making any difference and he was still killing the grass. Can I do both vinegar and the rocks? I will try the rinsing
  7. Need photos of mega please, hope her vet appointment goes well. Another thing with Archie is when you put him in the car he shakes like he is terrified, so don't like putting him through that if possible. Even walked him to the vet last time and he was overwhelmed, rescue remedy didn't seem to do much for either of us...lol
  8. Have cleaned his ears as they were moving when he first arrived and it took about a month to get them nice and clean. I agree the smell of infected ears is disgusting. He has a crinkle ear dont know what else to call it, its about 1/2 size of his other ear and he doesnt like you to touch it seems very tender to him. Instead of being flat its full of ridges and quite hard to touch, god only knows what happened. Its like ironing something with the iron to hot and it scrunches up the fabric I will look for another vet and see how he goes. He is an adorable old chook
  9. I do dry him completely but he wont sleep inside at night likes to lay outside under the stars and usually gets damp from the dew. If I pen him he howls. When I say pen its part of the garage that is pens so its a area of 12 ft by 20ft covered He also wont lay on a mat or anything comfortable no matter how I try His teeth are about a mm above the gum line. I will get some charcoal and chlorophyl today, How much should I give he weights 36kilos? Thanks for your help
  10. I have a old oes vet puts in the age range of 8-9yrs, he has all the normal old age signs and thats fine. The biggest problem is he has a horrible smell to him, he has been clipped right back to nothing and hydrobathed numerous time and still have the smell. His teeth aren't the best whats left of them, he has a heart condition so the vet doesnt want to put him under just to clean his teeth. He is feed a barf diet, I have put rocks in the water bowl as he squats to pee and is killing the grass. He also gets Dr Bruces vets natural Joint Formula in his food every day and that has made a big difference to his movement in the last month. He is starting to play now with our other oes, granted he looks like a spastic chook with all 4 legs not very co-ordinated but he seems happy. Is there anything I could give him to help with his smell?
  11. Depends on what you are drying. I looked at both when I was deciding and in the end went with the liberty mark 3. Dries my Puliks quite well and quickly also the OES's
  12. Thanks everyone, will try the rocks, where do I get them from? The vets?
  13. I was thinking the same but not as politely as you said Peibe
  14. ask the breeder if you can have some food when you collect the pup, that way you dont have to buy any and can slowly change over I always send my rescue dogs with a enough food for a few days when they are rehomed. Cant hurt to ask
  15. Had lovely green grass until last week, now its brown patchy. My dogs seemed very happy when we moved to Brisbane as they had been in a dirt bowl until then He also squats as he falls over if he cocks his leg.
  16. Hot doesnt come close, I have just spent the last week down there and it was stinky hot. I took my girls with me so there could both be groomed while there. I dont know anyone on your side of town, when I lived in Melbourne I was on the western side. One is 15 months old and changing coat and it looks like a bird nest so quickly, so it was good to get help. My dogs use to go to the groomers every fortnight and they enjoyed there day. If not showing clipping around the bum is a great idea and under the chin. My girls both love the water and will chase the hose, jump to catch rain drops and lay in there clam pool Do you have a copy of the puli grooming book, Striking the right cord? if not its worth getting, its great as its in simple terms and shows how to go things.
  17. I know this has been done but I cant find the info. I have a rescue Old English Sheepdog around 8yrs old and he is killing the grass. No previous health info or anything was given, actually told he was only 3yrs old. I have been putting apple cyder vinegar in the water but doesnt seem to be help/working. I have him booked in for a full blood work any other suggestion or could I just not be putting enough in the water bowl?
  18. Hi I also have pulik and my girls have been going to the groomers since the day they arrived at home. This gets them use to the hydro bath, the dryers and having someone else handle them and they get to socialize with others. Both my girls love the dryer so Im not much help but agree just take it slow and she will get use to it. Are you going to show her as this will depend on how you groom/trim etc?

    Cant Wait?

I have Yorkies and they are feisty little dogs that honestly think they are big dogs. As much as it may have upset you about the possibility of them being hurt it’s a reality. It can happen very quickly and easily. You will need to be careful with letting your yorkie play with the corgi and it will need to be supervised play. Just remember when your Yorkie comes home he will weight anywhere between 800gram to the 1 kilos depending on how old he is when you get him. My Yorkies are 5yrs old and they still get supervised play with the OES as they only weight 1.8kilos fully grown. My yorkies are treated the same as the OES, if the OES’s do something that I don’t except they get spoken to and the same goes for the yorkies. I hate little dogs that are feral and people let then get away with stuff just because they are small. Enjoy your Yorkie
  20. I hope his leak hasnt become worse and he's just been off colour for a few days and he is back to his normal self now.
  21. When in Melbourne I use to get bucket o meat at times and it was delivered Can anyone recommend anything like that for Brisbane, would prefer south side but will travel if there is no delivery but can only do that on weekends so would need something that is open on weekends or is there any company that delivers fresh meat or anywhere you can buy it in bulk
  22. cant get either links to open for me, so can anyone tell me what your dog needs to know before they can do flyball? Was thinking of having a go with my Puli, have no idea if she would like it or not
