According to the vet there heart sound fine. I spent about a hour there today and the little girl coughed on and off for the hour, the boy about 20 times in the hour and both gagged as if something was stuck in there throat. Jack asked me to thank everyone and appreciates everyone help and is deeply touched that strangers are willing to help

Thanks Pomquest The 2 dogs are around the 4 kilo so how much parrafin oil? Jack I think would be willing to try it

Jack has spoken to the kennel and there was one dog that could have had kennel cough that was in when his dogs were. Jack has taken both his dogs to be heart worm tested and they are negative. Vet isnt sure and is thinking either allergy/ hay fever or asthma, that's if Jack heard correctly. He was a bit stressed at the time as Bobby didnt appreciate the test apparently....lol EFS

Thanks Sandgrubber, I will ask Jack to ring the kennel and see. With some strains of KC could it take months to clear? He lives in Boronia Heights Qld

I have a neighbour that had 2 small shihtzu cross dogs he adopted from a animal shelter many years ago. They are now around 6-7yrs old, desexed, vaccinated, wormed etc In Dec they spent a week in boarding while he was in hospital and came home with what the vet said was kennel cough. There were treated with antibiotics and he was told they would be fine within a few weeks. Its been over 2 months and They are still coughing and seem quite flat. He has taken them back to his vet and he was just given him more antibiotic. I did suggest he see a different vets again he was given more antibiotic. Both dogs don't seem to be getting better. They do have days where the coughing is less but the next day its back to being worse. He was told to seperate them and not let them play together. They are not happy being away from each other so he wont do this as it distresses him to see them so upset. He was also told not to leave the house with them until they are better. So he is now not going for his daily walks as hes worried to leave them in case they get sick while hes not home My questions is what else can he do to help them? he cant afford to keep going to the vet at $140 each visit. I have given him a jar of Active Manuka Honey which he is giving them twice a day. He is worried sick about his little dogs he is 76yrs old and these dogs are his family

With the flora max tablets is that the complete name? Do you crush it or just give hole?
-
Thanks to everyone advice, his little bottom is no where near as red or blistery as it was and he doesn't seem to care about it.
-
I applied some paw paw as I had that on hand. Must admit he wasn't happy with me doing it but it must feel better now as he seems more relaxed and not so focused on his bottom Thanks everyone

is it just called lanolin cream? and I take it I can get to from the chemist? I am going to start a book on ideas that everyone has not just for this but for other bits and piece as I suck in remembering Thanks heaps

Paw Paw, thanks I have that and didnt even give it a though. The vet suggested chicken and rice, will plain bolied chicken be enough for a few days? Its been ages since I had a funny belly puppy and cant remember anything Thanks

Have a little dog that since coming is has been wormed completely and due to a change of food has had the runs for a while. Has been vet checked and all is well given scourban and on a diet of boiled chicken and rice for a few days. His bottom is quite raw and it is bothering him. Is there anything I can apply to help it feel better but without causing any problems? I was thinking baby nappy rash cream?

Not sure about infected folds, think you will need to find out what is causing the infection. If its just due to not being cleaned and dried correctly, start doing it now and see if it improves. Just remember to be very gentle as it may be quite sore I use to clean my bulldogs facial folds daily with baby wipes or a clean face washer, no soap Dry your bully’s wrinkles completely after you clean them. This will help prevent bacteria from getting trapped. You can dry the wrinkles with a soft tissue by rubbing it in and out of the wrinkles the same way you did with the cloth. You may choose to rub a small amount of baby powder, I use nappy rash powder or potato flour into my dog’s wrinkles to dry out any excess moisture

need advice for a puppy This little one has been teased and roughed up for fun as the previous owners thought its funny to get him grumpy until he snaps, grow and bite etc. Now the moment you go to touch him he will go to bite or growl. Im not 100% sure what is the correct way to handle this and would like advice so I don't make it worse When he bites, I growl at him and he just growls back. I did yell NO when he bite but it was a game to him I have tried to push my hand into his bite but that just seem to hurt me I would like to give this puppy a chance bull breed, (no judgment just a fact) so will be a solid dog when an adult. Will be fully vet checked tomorrow, also never been vaccinated

I also have this problem but with a Yorkie. I can free feed the other yorkies but miss piggy only has to look at food and she gains weight. She should be around the 1.5 kilo as that suits her but she is currently 2.1 kilos so needs to loose a bit. Its hard when I have others that are quite lean and if I dont free feed them they loose weight quickly. If they are separated they pin for each other.. Cant win

Glad to hear he is improving OT, but I would love a vet that gives me a discount ;) Want to share your vet

Hope there has been a improvement in your little fellow. Its so hard when they are so small but think they are bullet proof. Super positive healing wishing coming your way
-
Sincerely hope he improves. The best is he is home with his family for how ever long and that is the best medicine there is
-
Sending super positive vibes across the water for your little man and you

my last dr B ones were $20 for 10 patties and the yorkies refused to eat them, they use to love them. Even the big dogs that eat everything wouldnt touch them might have been a bad batch but at $20 it worth trying the others at a 5th of the price
-
excellent price, will have to get some and see if my crew like them
-
how much are they and how many in a bag please?
