My 7yr old Gsd girl just gave me a scare, and it is the second time (within a couple of years) that this has happened, with me being there! I'll try and explain..............it's like she is having a mild seizure, her ears are pulled right back, almost tight against her head, she flicks her tongue out quick quickly/repeatably and the most freaky part is her eyes roll back in her head She doesn't fall over, but does stiffen up a little and it lasted about 1 maybe 2 minutes. She is now lying quietly asleep! Any ideas???

Yes we practiced broad jump over this week and of course what was in the rally???? NO broad jump!!!! Though there was halt, stand walk around the dog station Seven passed with 96 and 1st place, Tasha passed with 93 and my plus one dog won novice rally with 98 from his first effort in rally I was more pleased with my plus one, as I am handling him for a dear friend and for him to work so well with me was wonderful!!

this thread reminds of a Chihuhua story years ago.............. typical Sunday morning training and a big dude on a huge Harley turns up to training, he gets off his bike and saunters over to us, just think about a BIG hairy heavily tattooed biker guy and he says.................."You guys train dogs here?" Nobody was going to point out the dozens of dogs being trained on the oval at that moment!! "of cousre we do" was the answer and we are all thinking to ourselves........."crap....what type of dog is he going to want to bring out to training" As much as I hate labelling and pigeon holeing people, this guy must have a bull type of breed!!! but no.................................. He pulls out from his leather waist coat his tiny 16 week Chihuhua And for the next several months, turned up on his Harley, pulled out his little dog from his waist coat and trained him through to class 4/5 No one told him youu can't train a Chihuahua

Today I caught up with a girlfriend to do some dog training at the local dog park. My sheppie boy is going through the grumbles atm with unknown dogs. My friend gave me the heads up that an unleashed swf was coming up quickly behind me, so I called out..... nicely...... that my dog isn't friendly and her answer was......... "Oh but my dog only wants to say HI!!" So I called out "Mine doesn't..........!!" At least she listened and popped her swf back on it's leash and walked the other way

though I didn't get breakfast in bed or even a coffee I did get what we have been working towards the last year.............. My sheppie girl passed her third and final leg for her utility title in obedience with a score of 190/200 Then she backed it up in the afternoon trial with another pass of 186/200 to give her very first pass towards an obedience champion Pretty happy with that

though I haven't posted for a while, I have been following everyone's great and wonderful results I have, finally, a brag worth posting I know Tassie will be excited for us My sheppie girl, Seven finally passed her 3rd leg of UD with a score of 190 under Ross Carlson of Vic. Then backed it up in the afternoon with a 186 (same judge) and her first leg to her OC title Four more to go!!!!!!

tonight we have just discovered both our sheppie girls (mother/daughter) 7yrs old and 4 yrs old nibbling on a select spot of dirt. 7yr old was licking at the dirt and the younger one was actually nibbling on the harder parts to break it up to access it better............... They are fed a raw/natural diet with chicken carcesses being the main protein source. I have never seen any of my dogs, over the many years of owning dogs, ever doing this. Eating/grazing on grass, yep, not dirt................................ Any ideas??????

After reading another thread and the topic went slightly astray with names of pups, got me thinking about what or who did you name you pup after??? We have in our household.................................Seven - Seven of Nine, Star Trek Voyerger Tasha - Tasha Yar, Star Trek Next Gen Jim - James T Kirk, Star Trek the Original Scout - To Kill a Mockingbird I've also had Seth - Crusty Demon's freestyle moto x and Gizmo- Gremilins................ what are yours????

Ooops Right. See I can't even do it when I post How am I meant to do it when I am on a course. They were teaching it correctly My dogs just have a silly handler I was tricked by my obedience training of walking in straight lines, the finish was angled to the left which I didn't account for when I walked past finish. I had something very similar happen to me with my sheppie girl in an advance rally, down in Hobart recently. I straight lined out of the fig 8 (with distractions) for the left turn. We had been sitting on a possible 100 up to the second last station Damm my traditional obedience training of straight lining
