thanks guys it certainly does help...... planning our freestyle novice routine now for Jim and still not sure whether to go on with FS novice with Tasha or to HWTM starters as she s a much better "heeler" :D

just re-reading the guidelines for both HWTM & FS, I only have noticed the wording, poses as a requirement for novice etc.............what are the recommended poses for both discplines please :D

many years ago, and I mean, many years ago, my Mum would pull out her red decor basket full of tea/coffee etc for a day of dog showing etc. That basket would be placed on the kitchen table to be filled with goodies and of course right in view of our dogs. The red basket was the trigger :D Cue a couple of years latter, same dogs, different hobby for my brother, go-cart racing and guess what came out Sat/Sun mornings??? The red basket and 3 very confused cardigan corgis :laugh:

just a little brag from yesterday's DWD comp here in Adelaide........both my sheppies passed their final legs for their freestyle starter's titles with Jim scoring a fabulous 165.5 and 2nd place!! Tasha beating her cousin for 1st place with an amazing 171.5!!! AND also winning high score freestyle in trial too :) :) :)

I have a 5yr old Gsd boy though he has never had issue with marking inside, he has had a couple of wet dreams, which has resulted in some very quick washing machine fixes!!!!!!!!

as we had previously been on a very large block (2acres) & no neighbours, then moving into a smallish block (1000sqm) we weren't sure how our dogs were going to be with having immediate neighbours............... so before we actually moved in, I door knocked our two close neighbours & introduced myself & hubby & explained what was about to happen with 4 dogs moving in!! We also mentioned too, that IF the dogs were making too much noise, that please come & speak to us directly & immediatley. so far no problems, we speak reasonably regularly with our neighbours & their feedback is "yes the dogs do bark from time to time" though nothing too much in fact a couple of other people in our cul de sac can't believe that 3 Gsds & a pointerX live here as there is hardly any noise!!!! Well compared to a couple of other dogs who bark a lot....

You might have to keep on prodding/prompting Biker Girl to come clean with all her news Ness vbg yep Jim did win the highest scoring freestyle dog too..........

oh gee shucks Ness.......... thank you I am feeling pretty pleased with both Jim & Tasha atm to fill everyone in, we had our freestyle starters debut today with Tasha scoring 157.5/180 & 2nd!! AND Jim winning the same class, with 159/180!!!!!!

Maybe we could comb our wardrobes & swap items

I love hats too. I think it just finishes of a costume and they also stop my hair from falling in my face :laugh: What about wigs :) I've done wigs too, I love a good dress up :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: I think I have done just about everything there is to do with a costume. I've done capes, wigs, hats, skirts, canes, tiara's, wands, etc and don't get me started on props. I have a love affair with them too. :rofl: I love your Game of Thrones costume! if you don't mind me asking BC4ME.....could you post a pic of you GOTs costume????? I am doing something similar & found a dress for a dollar in Vinnies & I am curious to see whether it has the same look/feel to have that GOTs feel about it

I was so worried about our four dogs & how they would settle into suburban life after several years of living on acreage in Tassie, that I spoke to each of our neighbours before we moved in & informed them of us having four dogs & that "if" there was any issue, to please come & speak to us directly! One of the neighbours have two beagles & they are making more noise than our four combined!!!!!!!! To the point that even after 6 months of living here, they are still throwing themselves against the fence & baying when I go & do a poo pickup near the fence Luckily for us, our four are not responding back to them & as annoying as they are, I think the more noise they actually make, the better our dogs look or rather (not) sound!!!

we have had 2 seperate occasions which resulted in the same dog "visiting" the vet................ the first time was just after we lost our 8yr old Gsd male, we were both at work when we received a frantic phone call from our neighbour who had heard screaming from the backyard Dell went to investigate & found Scout, our pointer/kelpie had been beaten up by our two other Gsd girls (mother/daughter) Scout was rushed to the vet's & stitched up.......luckliy it was mostly superficial wounds. We don't know what triggered the fight, though Scout does not back down when things happen & unfortunatley for her, she only weights 18kgs compared to the combined weight of two Gsds The dogs were seperated after that, with Scout staying inside while we were both at work & at night............ The other time, & much more serious, was when, just after feeding the 3 of them, we both turned our backs for a moment of two to wash up after feeding the dogs chick carcesses, when we heard an odd noise from the backyard..............Scout had been choking on what was left of a carcess & both Tasha & Seven had gone in for the kill Seven had Scout around the head & Tasha had hit her on the breastbone, Mike picked up Scout & felt her over & noticed she was bleeding from that area and also could feel some bone damage................we rushed her to the vet, where intially they though the wound was minor.........x-rays later & Scout had an open wound about the size of an adult fist which went through to the lung!!! As well as the broken breastbone. The vet didn't even know if Scout would make it through the operation, she did though again they couldn't say whether she would even make it through the night..............again she did.................. Long story short, Scout made a full recovery, much to the amazement of the vet...........though $4000 later That little dog has cost us more in vet bills than the 3 Gsds combined

thought I would join in and confess that I/we have been quietly training for heelwork to music starters The plan is to enter for May's trial here in Adelaide..........................well that's the plan

so the authorities will not act UNTIL a child is bitten or worse..............
