I can't see that Aziah really did anything wrong. She sent a PM with some advice. No harm in that. I'm guilty of it all the time! I guess the upshot is that it is up to the recipient how they take it. For my part, I'm USUALLY grateful for comments from outside. I'm so close to my animals that sometimes an outside eye is what is needed to bring my attention to something that I may have taken for granted. If I get a PM I don't want, I will either ignore it, or thank the person politely and leave it at that. Heck, my puppies are positively PUNY compared to the other Stafford puppies born on the same day but I know I'm doing my best and Koda is doing her best so the criticism that I too have received has gone in one ear and out the other. I'M satisfied with their progress and daily weight gain and that is what really matters in the end. So Rysintira, you're not alone, I've had PMs too (but not from Aziah - we bug each other regularly about other stuff! ;)). And on the subject of my Gang of 9.....5 are now over the 500gr mark and SIX of them have EYES!!!!!! :D

Have you noticed that even the noises that come out of them now are more puppylike and less like little blind n deaf things? Actual whines and growls and howls and I SWEAR I heard an "almost bark" earlier!

I think she'll have a massive coat. But the good news is that it is her mother's texture. Rimes' is ok and perfectly correct but Vanni's is that beautiful silky, flat, natural coat that is so easy to do anything with. Is her white increasing or is it an optical illusion?? Optical illusion. Just became more obvious when I trimmed her neck properly but is decreasing gradually as she grows.

Here are my 9 Terrorists.....10 days old today. 4 of them are over the 500gr mark now with a few not far off. Eyes are thinking about opening. It's so cute to watch them trying to "see" under their eyelids with their little eyeballs moving all over the place and frowning with concentration! Taking lots of sleep photos. I have a feeling that I'll need them to remind me in future that sleep WAS once an option!

Two of my piglets are over 500gr now, with a couple more hot on their heels. I had to change their collars today...can't believe how tiny their first ones were. I've put them in an envelope and will give them to the new owners as part of their puppy packs. Considering there are so many, I'm delighted that all have more than doubled their birth weights now! :D

Koda's at the stage where she doesn't care. She begs for some "time out" now. Does a wonderful job with them, cleans them, feeds them (a couple are over 500gr now) but is very much aware of her "rights" as a nursing mother! :D

Not an uncommon thing at all. Some of my American Cockers do it, and particularly those from a certain bloodline. There was also a thread relating to it on an American Cocker email list from the USA a few years back and funnily enough, I had dogs descended from the bloodlines they were talking about and they did it too. More frustrating than anything else and a real pain in the behind to clean up!

I have found that my dogs don't like the look of a medicine type applicator, yet have no issues with a plastic sauce bottle so I usually decant any ear meds into one of those.

And the Brew Crew just keep on gaining!! Minimum of 27gr up to a MASSIVE 57gr overnight!! :D

Just weighed the crew. Overnight, the minimum any of them has put on is 23gr up to a whopping 44gr. And I here I was worrying because Koda only has 8.5 boobs!

I'm not fond of the Plush Puppy whitening stuff. I'd always use the EZ Groom Crystal White Shampoo in preference. You have to heat it slightly to activate it and it works a treat.

Wouldn't work for me, my 9 are pretty much doing shifts at the milkbar.....it seems to be open 24/7 at the moment! Poor Koda!
