  1. Didn't think there was any point to starting a new thread so I'll just add foalie pics here :) . Please meet Dacia B, born at 10pm last night. Delante is proving to be a great first time mum. The baby is a weeny bit off so vet is coming out to check her shortly. Fingers crossed it's nothing major. I've more photos but given she's not the prettiest thing, I thought sharing just one would do
  2. Thanks Huga! I thought I may have been behind too - so we're up to week 42?
  3. Had another crack at this technique today. A fairly boring photo but the seat does seem to pop out to me.
  4. LOL it's amazing what you can do with a bit of cotton! They kept on spinning round though so getting them into a position that looked half way ok was the tricky bit. And Oscar was a very unwilling model, despite how it looks in the photo. As soon as I turned my back he disappeared, bow and all  I'm not 100% sure about the weeks - I'm sure Huga will know :)
  5. Forgot to add that I think today is start of week 41
  6. Thanks Snook but no photoshop :) . Still don't have new computer so the pic yesterday was taken by simply hanging the china by cotton and then edited a little in lightroom
  7. Is anyone going to this? Does it seem like it would be worth attending? http://www.adobe.com/au/special/eclipsetour/?trackingid=KATJY Larissa :)
  8. Love the flying bee shots CC! and cool spiders Tlc. Good luck with the swarm PossumCorner... I've often thought I'd like to have bees but I'm a little scared of being stung.
  9. Thanks all :) . Yes, I do have before photos. Hankdog, the greyhound is in the fourth photo and is off to the right. He's white and brindle.
  10. Clyde we are lucky enough to live on an old property with lots of drystone walls :) . We've repaired some of the ones that are falling down, and have built some new ones. A bit off topic, but if anyone wants some garden rocks (natural (ie not cut) bluestone) we've got heaps and you're welcome to come get some.
  11. Thank you all! We've hopefully three babies due this year (and are keeping fingers, toes and everything else crossed for safe births and healthy mares and foals). Dellante is due today but keeping her legs firmly crossed - absolutely no sign of impending labour (she hasn't even started to bag up yet) but there is no doubt she is pregnant. Altair then due mid November, and Esther due late January. Yaay for Andalusian babies :D
  12. Thanks guys! Yes, the joys of grey horses  . She is due to foal in about six weeks :D
  13. Hi all, Took these pics of our mare, Altair, this morning. I'm biased I know, but I think she is just beautiful
  14. Thanks so much everyone for your comments! The greyhound is Zephyr :) A few from today:
  15. We're the same here PossumCorner - my roses are only just starting to get leaves. Although I did notice one lone bud on a brave rugosa. Persephone, what is the rose that your boy is under? It's beautiful!
  16. Thanks everyone :) ! Drumbeat, they are crab apples (Malus Floribunda) - I've planted a pair that lead into the orchard (you can see the orchard behind them in the pics). They are beautiful. PossumCorner, that little building we believe used to be a dairy. There are original wooden shingles under the tin roof. This building, and the bluestone house, were built in the early 1870s. There was another building but all that remains is a large bluestone chimney. I've spoken with relatives of the family who first settled here and their family history says that a house here burnt down, so I'm guessing that there was a weatherboard building attached to the chimney at some stage. We also have a lovely old shed with cobbled floor and a manger that runs along the length of it :) . The bluestone house is only small - it is currently two rooms, but at some stage there was a second internal wall that has been removed. Amazing to think that a large family of eight squeezed into such a small cottage. I've not been to Lavandula but the photos I've seen of it look just beautiful. I don't think we're too far from you - we're down at Redesdale, about half an hour south of Bendigo.
  17. I'm proud of my garden . Other than a few big old trees, there was nothing here when we moved in. I've created the garden from scratch, myself. I've been out mowing and weeding today and took these photos. They are not particularly good, but I just wanted to share as I think it's starting to look really nice. It will look better in another month or so when things start to flower :)
  18. Slightly off topic but I don't have a card reader, I always just plug my camera into the computer. Is this a bad thing to do??
  19. CC, I'm about to buy the same one you got :). I've been waiting for it to come on sale, and it did today. Yaay! TLC, thank you, that would be brilliant! I do have Lightroom but want to start doing some of the more advanced stuff that LR just can't do.
  20. Thanks Linda :) . Student/teacher version no go for me so if anyone can point me in the direction of a good place to buy the standard version that would be great :)
