I think its worth noting here that I am told that the dogs were sold for either $700 or $900 each. I can't confirm but its seems high for a "rescue".

The relevant section is 6.4.3 When a seized or lost animal is delivered to approved premises or a council pound, the person in charge must do their best to find out who the owner of the animal is and return the animal to that person. To help do this, they may access information on the Register or other private registers or check any identification on the animal. .

I have spoken with the Council and the dogs were not kept the 14 days as " the registrations were not in NSW so we only kept them for 7 days" . I am following this up as its is a clear breach of the law as intended. The dogs were correctly microchipped and the records were up to date. They were on the Qld register and the national one. Only NSW fails to check the National database.

Just a heads up........ I am the lawyer helping Renee. Mick Collins is one of the "special" members of rescue....... one that is damaging what rescue is about. Her story is kosher. Most decent rescues would have returned her dogs.

They have a sister who is willing to take the dog if its a total disaster so the dog will remain within the family no matter what. I believe that the dog will be inside but not allowed in the childs bedroom. I think its worth a shot.

The mother has been told that hypo allergenic dogs are what she should be looking for by the family Dr. Although I could point her in the right direction regarding dogs and allergies, I am just happy that they are willing to buy a rescue rather than a dog from a pet shop. I am just wanting to point her to any reputable rescue in Melb that may have dogs that she will love. .

The child has been diagnosed with mild allergies to dogs. They still want him to enjoy having a dog and both parents are dog mad. They finally are in a house where they can have a dog so they want to get a dog that will have the least impact on the child's allergies. They are a great family.

I have a friend in Melbourne who is looking for a rescue that is a hypo allergenic dog. They are looking a medium to small dog. They have a 4 year old boy who has just started Kindy. They want a younger dog. Any suggestions folks??? .

Hi all. I am a Local Government Lawyer who also used to be an Elected Councillor. The rules in NSW that are being discussed are ONLY relevant if there has been a complaint about noise or hygiene on a particular property. The Companion Animal Act stands above all local Acts. The amount of animals you can keep will not change UNLESS you are found guilty of a noise or odour issue. Then the local restrictions will be applied. See Section 124 of the Local Government Act. .

It is just as well then that the New Rescue Service will be being run correctly, with all vet work being carried out and the core values upheld. So which of the two vets will be doing all this vet work? So are you just on a vendetta against one individual?? Is that what your posts are about? Because its getting boring.... Pardon? Not at all. I'm simply asking which of the two vets that have small animal practices in Cowra are stepping up to do the vet work. I know both have a fairly hectic schedule. It's a fair question given the population of the town, and the lack of available vets. Anyone who lives in the area would know that. Actually you are looking to attack a well loved and respected rescuer.... all your posts are aimed at her. I know her well and the community...... I suggest you go elsewhere because the rest of us are well aware of what you are trying to do. .

I call 'bullshit' lol I have the original message from the post on facebook, and she categorically tells you that she rescued three dogs. Please, let this rest, you are only continuing to make a fool of yourself. I've no idea what you're talking about there. You might have me confused with someone else. You need to be better informed before you start making statements on a public forum. I am very well-informed. I don't make such statements lightly. I know how easily a rescue group's reputation can be ruined by people's actions as well as assumptions. I've been in the rescue world for a long time. Just because I'm new to the Cowra region doesn't mean I don't know what has been going on here; what troubles me is that it continues to go on despite people TRYING desperately to improve things for the pound animals. Sorry BUT you are certainly NOT well informed. Go take your nastiness elsewhere. You are trying to spread lies against an individual for reasons that escape me. Until you have the facts I suggest you go play in the garden rather than trying to hurt someone who is doing good. .

I guess when you haven't all the facts and you attack someone then you get a serve. Rescue is hard enough without getting attacked by wantabes. I was at the end of the phone helping that individual who was pulling out all stops to try and rescue all the pups. I was online with her overnight as she tried to say the pup who ended up to have parvo. I know what its like to PTS a pup that you have tried to save against the odds. Frankly.... I know who I will stand beside. .....and at this point its not you country girl.

Ill try to secure a rescue for her as soon as they get a picture up. Best i can do and try to ensure she doesnt fall into the hands of certain people can you get more info on her temp for me? like dogs, cats, kids etc She was a delight. She lived with another small dog and a 7 year old girl. The family then had another baby and the dog never got walked etc. They got rid of her because they had brush fencing and she started chewing her way out. She was surrendered to Blacktown pound today. I think she is impound number 1403027. Why do people not invest time with their dogs. Our boy is the same age and a pain at the moment but we make the time to ensure he is happy. Just 15 mins a day makes such a difference. .
