I have friends who are interested in purchasing a Bichon. They have been through list of breeders here on Dogzonline but I was wondering if anyone had any personal suggestions of breeders for them. They really want to go through a *reputable* registered breeder and do the right thing. (This is their first dog and they really want to start off on the right foot). Any suggestions or PM's would be appreciated.

That is fantastic news to hear. I check in here daily for updates and I am so glad that Jed is now able to at least read DOL and see how much she has contributed to this forum. By the time you have read this whole 167 (so far) pages you might just be up to putting a little update in yourself. -

Hello waiting room Have just relit my candle. I make sure I light one before the previous one goes out. I really should keep that link in my favourites. I have been popping my head in everyday but work has been so busy I just havent had time to settle on one of those comfy newfies, umm I mean chairs. I feel like watching a movie tonight, Emma you say? Sounds good....... *settles into the recliner in the corner, pulls over a newfie to rest the weary feet on and gives them a scritch with my toes* -

Not sure if Jed likes a tipple or not but seeing as its after beer o'clock on a Saturday night I thought I might pop on in with a lovely bottle of Shiraz. It was given to me by someone I care about so I thought it appropriate to share it around this very special waiting room. Cheers! *chink* *off to see if my candle is still alight* -

This is such a comforting waiting room. So many positive vibes. The newfies are quite comfy too I must say. I will have to vacate my seat shortly to go to work so it will be nice and warm for someone else to take over. *steals an extra muffin and hopes nobody sees* -

So so horribly sad. RIP Magnus. -
Hahaha, I thought that too. She is an adorable little dog, I love the fuzzy face...it's just another look a poodle can carry off beautifully. He he so did I!

RIP Flog. Andrew and his family should be assured that the Rainbow Bridge is exactly as they described.

You are tickling him lol. -
Just got some good news. Daphne will have one final big check over and then she should be coming home this afternoon. Thank Dog for that.
-
Well Daphne is hanging in there. She has vomited quite a bit and had some fitting last night. This morning she is just feeling very sad and sorry for herself. She will be staying overnight again so they can keep a close eye on her. She is a very very lucky little girl. Thanks to Dol too. If it wasnt for the doggy knowledge I have learnt over the years from here she would not be alive now. When her Mum messaged me to tell me she had eaten all that chocolate I forwarded a list of symptoms and signs of chocolate poisoning in dogs to her. She called the vet immediately and then took her straight in. Yeah DOL!! Ps. she is still not out of the woods totally so keep those fingers and paws crossed.
-
Please keep everything crossed for my girlfriends daschund Daphne. She got hold of the kids easter eggs while they were at church this morning and demolished 3 large ones and was eating the 4th. They had put them up high on the kitchen table but she managed to get up there somehow and eat them. She is currently at the vet after vomiting. All paws crossed that she will be ok.

I was thinking the exact thing. We have done this all along our chook fencing so the dogs cant dig under to get to the chooks. They have tried to dig but hit the mesh and go no further. We have it at least a meter on both sides and buried.

Mine have been eating Royal Canin but my GSD has decided its awful and would rather starve to death than eat it. I have tried mixing it with other lovely goodies but she will just lick that off and leave the dry. I have a tub with 3/4 of a 15kg bag in it. It does have a weird smell to it and I am thinking that maybe it is a bit off? It was definately in date when I bought it. I got it because it was on special at Petbarn. They have eaten and devoured it before. It is stored the exact same way I store all my previous dry food. I am thinking that maybe I might have to chuck it out and start again but the thought of throwing away a hundred dollars kills me!

RIP beautiful girl. I am so sorry for your loss.

I will try the bay leaf method. My pantry has recently had a massive moth invasion and I have struggled to keep them at bay. I have moth traps but they dont seem to be doing any good. I have scrubbed the cupboard out and turfed anything that remotely looked like it could have been affected. I will go now and empty the bay leaf container right through the pantry lol. Thanks!
