50c each gee whiz I wish I could get them for that! The couple times I've found them have been at Coles and they were $3.99 each! I realise this is very dear but I like to spoil the kids with them

Ohhh gosh what a difficult time for you! You and the little guy will be in my thoughts, everything crossed here for a positive outcome.

Ooooh I just love him He looks so damn dopey Reminds me of Hudson at a similar age, has that same vague look on his face And I adore this particular age and all the clumsiness and silly puppy antics that come with it

cassie replied to julesluvscavs's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Guess which vet was at the "Bark in the Park" doggy day today here in Adelaide, yep that's right, Dr Girling Sorry, I just have to promote him again :D Anyone who gives up their spare time to go to such an event to give out FREE advice and FREE health checks is an ok bloke in my book -
Where Do You Buy Your Doggie Meds From?

Excellent news Glad I could help :D

thank you i never thought of that she did have one 2 nites ago, i hope that was it. Well to be honest, if her poos go back to normal, I would think the Greenie treat would have been the culprit If not, by all means get her to a vet if you're still concerned.

Ohh wow yes I will definitely have to!!! Always looking for good butchers etc, this has been a very helpful thread :p

Looking For A Really Caring And Thorough Vet In Sa

Way way way too far for you Jules But in case anyone else is interested I would always highly recommend Dr Chris Girling at Noah's Crossing out at Lewiston. He knows his stuff inside-out, ESPECIALLY when it comes to large and giant breed dogs A very caring and considerate man who always goes the extra mile for you. I'm very happy with him. -
Has she had one of those "Greenies" toothbrush-shaped treat things? You can get them at the vets. Never given them to my own dogs but have heard from several people that they result in green poos. Just a thought?

Rest in peace dear Xander, you were a beautiful boy and will be sorely missed Thinking of you Kaz

I raised my Saint pup mainly on Royal Canin Giant and he looks excellent. Now he gets mainly a raw diet, but RC is in my opinion a fine kibble if you want to feed that. I'm a fan of Eagle Pack too.

RIP dear Clapton Such a hard time Kelpiepupmum, my thoughts are with you

Aww running in the snow, too cute! I bet that quick burst of energy was followed by a 10 hour sleep?

Wow, I'm surprised to hear this is happening in the Saint ring. It has been happening big time with mastiffs, with some of the leggier, prancier Mastiffs winning over the powerful built, true mastiff types..this typically only happens in the open shows with "all rounder" judges. Are you seeing something similar? To be honest, I don't show. BUT I do see what is out there, and while they aren't necessarily winning all the time, there are some types and lines that in my opinion do not look like a real Saint. Not all the same things that you've noticed in Mastiffs, but some things are similar: narrow heads, skinny legs, no chest, no cheeks, long muzzles...overall they just do not look "powerful" "imposing" or "impressive" - three words mentioned often in the Saint Bernard standard. I know the types of dogs I like, and it's just sad to see them changing

This is true of Saints also Many odd-looking specimens in the show-rings these days that I cringe at :shakehead:

Same Age, Same Sex.. Can It Ever Work?
cassie replied to wolfie333's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I have two similar sized males - a Bernese and a Saint. They are three years apart and get on beautifully It definitely can work -
I got emailed results in about 3-5 days, can't remember exactly but it was definitely no longer than that. This was the one and only time I've ever had a dog scored though, and it was over a year ago.
