Boss = your Dad? LOL is that right? Hehehe fair enough I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere, but what are you looking for in a pup? (Ideally of course...) Show potential? Obedience? Agility? Everything?!!!!
-
I do NOT want to sound rude or anything, or offend you in any way, but can you really afford a dog? Unexpected costs can and do crop up from time to time, and it's important that if pup needs a vet now, he needs a vet NOW! I've been lucky with my dogs, they haven't had any problems **TOUCH WOOD!** but I know others haven't enjoyed the same luxury. But even simple things like on-going worming and heartworming, flea treatments, quality food, etc etc etc all cost money and add up.

I think Misty is my fav at the moment They are all looking great LP Can we have a little hint on who might be staying???

I would recommend Mark Singer He's located in Golden Grove, which is in the North East suburbs. http://caninetraining.com.au/

LOL I know this doesn't help you if he's too far away, but I stand by my Chris Girling recommendation  No other vet I have ever seen even comes close.

Sweepies are a fun, yet still competitive class. They nominate an age group, and any exhibit in that age bracket is eligible to participate, usually the entry fee is about $5. Usually there are 1st - 4th places. The entry fee goes back as rosette and the prize money. For winning 3rd in Puppy Sweeps this weekend, i got a rosette and $30. All breeds go in together, instead of being broken down to breed / group and judges pick from a line up of all breeds. They can usually attract about 30 entries. Hope this clears it up for you Ohhhh ok. So do they just nominate an age group on the day? Or do you know in advance that this show on this date will have Puppy Sweepstakes? Are all age groups included - surely they wouldn't have Open would they? Heaps of dogs in there I'd imagine!

This information is helpful, good topic I had asked some other questions in another thread in The Show Ring but just noticed this thread so I might keep the questions in here from now on. Can someone please explain what Sweepstakes are? I've heard people say "He came fourth in Baby Puppy Sweepstakes" or similar, what is this? Also (thanks to another thread!) I have just worked out all the classes, and what winning them means, etc. When it comes to the Group judging, they have classes again, is that right? So you get Baby Puppy of Group, Puppy of Group, Junior of Group, etc...? Then out of all THOSE winners do they choose an overall Best In Group? Same goes for Best In Show? Or have I got this bit totally wrong...

Couple Of Questions On Raw Diet
cassie replied to Tazzierescued's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Sorry for the stupid question but what is tripe exactly? And where do you buy it from? ("You" meaning general, not one particular person ) -
I have nothing valuable to add but just wanted to say good luck in your search for the right dog, and please let us know how you get on
-
Wow he looks awesome One of the most handsome dogs ever

I'm so sorry to read this How heartbreaking for you. Personally I would be calling the breeder and having a good long chat to work out exactly what is going on. You say he still hasn't opened his eyes - have they ever been open? Since birth? I know zilch about Shar Peis, can someone tell me do puppy Peis open their eyes around the same time as other breed puppies? Again, knowing nothing about your breed, but it does sound serious and must be awkward/uncomfortable and possibly painful for the poor puppy I hope between the breeder and the vet they can offer you some answers and solutions. Good luck please keep us informed. ETA: Do his eyes look ok otherwise? Any discharge or anything? (I know they're shut, but...)

Maremmas are primarily working dogs and the instinct to guard and protect their "flock" is STRONG. Sounds like pup needs a job to do No idea about rabbits though, hopefully someone can help you out with that.
-
Gorgeous video They are beautiful LP, each and every one of them A real credit to you Sorry if I've missed this along the way, but when do you think you'll make the final decision(s) as to who is staying? When do the others go to new homes?
