  1. You don't want a Bernese puppy running or jumping down the stairs Please teach her to go up and down slowly, if she has to at all. Personally I'd keep upstairs off limits (might limit some of the vaccuuming up there too in the months/years to come! ) and spend time with her where she is more comfortable on the ground floor
  2. Another lovely tribute to another lovely boy. RIP dear Memphis
  3. RIP dear Cujo ILDD they were lovely words you wrote
  4. Personally I'd be straight back to the vet - NOW
  5. Totally agree with this BUT in answer to your question, the Royal Canin Giant range has large kibble pieces specifically designed for big mouths. What breed is your pup?
  6. Great thread I don't have nearly enough of me and my babies Here's one with Hudson I quite like though:
  7. Ohh gosh I am so sorry to read this, what a devastating loss Take care of yourself hun :D RIP gorgeous Bella
  8. Sharon I'm sorry to read this thread, I had no idea you were having some troubles with Digi This must be incredibly hard for you, just want you to know that you have my full support ok hun You are doing the right thing for everyone involved, first and foremost your precious son who, naturally, is and should be your number one priority. Digi is a gorgeous boy and I'm sure he will make someone else very happy. Don't feel bad for letting him go.
  9. Yeah about 30 seconds here too. Nice cheap meal though
  10. Fine to feed As long as they are raw not smoked.
  11. I love the paw resting on the hand "Don't worry, I'm still here!" :p
  12. He is NOT three! Where on earth did that time go? Happy birthday smiley!
  13. Thankyou Sandra777 and Diva ;) Would you believe I didn't even think of this Have now searched and found a million! One in particular that looks really good is called "Natural-Giant" and is for people who feed their giant breeds a raw diet, so perfect for me :D Thanks for the suggestion.
  14. Is tongue considered a muscle meat? I found a heap of reduced-to-clear Lamb Tongues (and hearts and other treats!) at my local supermarket today so snapped them all up! I have fed them before and the dogs like them, but it was only one or two when I thought to buy them, just as something "extra" and not really as a whole meal. Now that I have a heap of them, I'm thinking this can make up one of their meat meals, would that be correct? Are they pretty good nutrition-wise? Thanks Slightly off topic, but does anyone on here happen to know of any forums for dog owners who feed raw? An Australian forum would be preferred, but any would do Not that I would EVER leave my beloved DOL! But I'd be interested to have a look at something like that if it existed, and ask my little questions such as these there as well as here Thanks in advance.
  15. What a dog Happy birthday to the big fella
  16. Mine get raw fish at least once a week Mainly salmon heads, but they have also had Trumpeters and Leatherjackets straight out the ocean when we've caught them. Trumpeters have spines on them, and I've never bothered to remove them. For a smaller dog I might consider it but my boys handle them just fine.
  17. I did the exact same thing What a shame as it is a huge big store.
  18. Out of those two, I think Bonnie is the better choice. Neither are great IMO. Why don't you look at ordering some food online and get it sent to you? Prices can be very reasonable.
  19. Sit, walk, sit, walk, sit, walk, etc will soon become very boring to a baby puppy. You need to keep training sessions short but often, and always fun fun fun!
  20. Tilly I had the exact same reaction :D Sorry Kosti, not very helpful :p
  21. Melo is this Tara you are talking about? Gosh I am so very sorry Big hugs to you and her.

    Saluki

Why does the ANKC standard say "Not detailed" for Characteristics, Temperament and Gait/Movement? Are Salukis similar to Afghans?
  23. You're welcome to any of mine too
