  1. One thing everyone THINKS they know about Saint Bernards is that they wore barrels round their necks filled with rum/brandy/whatever when they were out on their rescue missions in the Swiss Alps. Truth is, they never carried them. They were depicted as wearing the barrels in an early painting and that is where people got the idea from.
  2. Thought you just posted that you are desperate for a Newf or Leonberger? Now you're getting a GSD?
  3. Hi Nekhbet. As Steve said, the terms and conditions were very clear and I knew very well when I purchased the ticket that there were no refunds. When my circumstances changed I ummed and ahhed about what to do, and eventually contacted the K9 Pro team to discuss my situation. They were incredibly understanding and have been working with me this whole time in regards to what to do with my ticket. They have been nothing but professional and helpful. It is ME that is stuffing THEM around, not vice versa, and I am very greatful that they are doing what they can to assist me. This is NOT to reflect badly on them in any way, shape or form.
  4. First of all, yes I have persmission to post this Will also be posting in the "Marketplace" section of DOL. Steve Courtney aka K9 Pro is coming to Adelaide in May for a group workshop, and he will also be conducting two days of private lessons. I have booked to do both, attend the workshop and have a private lesson, but due to personal circumstances I no longer require the use of the private lesson. I am offering it up for sale. HERE is a link to more information on this private lesson. Whoever buys it will also receive further information and instructions from K9 Pro via email. I paid $423 for both the workshop and private lesson. To attend just the workshop costs $120, so $423 minus $120 equals $303, so I am asking $300 for this private lesson. A private lesson on it's own (without workshop) costs $350, so it's a saving of $50. Any questions, feel free to PM me or post in this thread. The date of this particular private lesson is Friday 7th May. Time is up to the buyer to work out with K9 Pro.
  5. Roo tails are good too for big dogs Also you can feed bones frozen together so they have to chew them apart, I've had success with feeding this way before. Otherwise my kids get salmon heads/backs, lamb flaps, chicken carcasses, chicken maryland, pork hocks, turkey wings and turkey necks. Also large chunks of meat without bone (roasts etc) when they're on special, I find they're almost the best thing for teeth cleaning. Plenty of variety there
  6. Same here Lesley! Chance was such a darling dog, I'd love one like him. Bit disappointed you didn't mention Beethoven though Ahhhh good girl
  7. Hi KHM, I just paid my money Ness do I still have to email you to say I want in on the lunch?
  8. I raised my Saint on RC Giant and was very pleased with the results :D
  9. I'll be in Perth on the 11th but would probably be able to make it to the 18th if there was one
  10. Couldn't agree more. Once a giant breed is mature (not til at least 18 months, more like 24 months) then in my opinion you can afford to put them on a slightly lower quality food, but while they are growing it is essential they get everything they need, and the simplest way to do this is with a super premium large/giant dog formula. I've not used Euk so can't comment, but would personally lean towards Eagle Pack or Royal Canin.
  11. Happy birthday little girlie! :D Big hugs from Cassie and slobbery kisses from Zeph and Huds
  12. I definitely like the idea of a shared lunch, pizzas are fine with me, nice and easy and would be maybe $5-10 each.
  13. Could you have perhaps moved away from the other dogs? I know it might have been a hassle packing everything up and starting again, but may have been a solution?
  14. Why don't you read the posts??? Don't you read things??? Why can't you answer the questions that have been asked numerous times re. the GSD being reprimanded - in whatever way - for running away? By not addressing these questions it leads many of us who are following this thread with interest to believe that you are hiding something?
  15. Call me stupid? Or blind? But for the life of me, I can't find an address on the K9 Pro website to mail my money order to? I have emailed them, just waiting for a response, but I want to send it off ASAP so was just wondering if anyone here knew? ETA: Nevermind, got it now
  16. Any recent pics? I thought in the last ones she looked a bit Bernese Mounatin Dog-ish. Could explain the size? Good luck!
  17. Thanks heaps Jo!!! If for some reason this other offer falls through I am keeping you in mind. Really appreciate it and thanks for measuring for me
  18. So happy for you!!! ;) He is just divine, you can see Roc in him a bit I think, but he looks different too - the perfect blend! BEEEEEEAUTIFUL!
  19. Thanks Steve, I should have just emailed in the first place!
