Now that is hard to get your head around! Why can a coated pup from two hairless parents be registered? -
Regarding Breed Size And Coat Type.
cassie replied to Esky the husky's topic in General Dog Discussion
I find it interesting that some different coat types can come from the same litter (Weims for example, thanks SparkyTansy) but are then registered as seperate varieties and shown seperately. Why is this? In my own breed Saints, rough (loong) coats and smooth (short) coats can and do come in the same litter, but all are registered as Saint Bernards and all are shown together, there are no seperate classes. Why is it different for some breeds? Sure makes things a bit confusing. -
Just gorgeous! Any specific plans for him?

Of All The Cheaper Dry Dogfoods Which Is The Best?
cassie replied to Stitch's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We tried Great Barko after hearing great things about it, and while the dogs loved it, their poos were HUGE and plentiful and sloppy, yuck! Mine get mainly raw anyway but I do like to have something on hand in case of emergencies. So it was back to Bonnie for us. My sister's two Staffords get Supercoat and they look great! -
Sorry guys I didn't make it to the Million Paws Walk today. Went out with the girls for dinner for my birthday last night (which isn't til next week but I'll be in QLD then) and my best friend flew in from Canberra as a surprise! Had no idea she was coming, it was awesome! So naturally we had a big night ;) ;) and I was NOT in a good state this morning!

Just be wary as they can also lead to very bad experiences for pups. We no longer go to off-lead "free for all" type dog parks, with the exception of DOL meets.

The main thing I took away was hope :D which is what Steve said at the start of the day. -
Damn I can't make that one, will be in Clare for a girlie weekend away However, armed with our newly learned tricks of the trade, (thanks K9 Pro!) Hudson and I are going to work on our issues and try to make an appearance at the July meet

Oh good you cut my head off in that last pic! Thanks so much to all involved in organising the day, was fantastic and I took a lot away from it. Wish Hudson wasn't so scared of strangers or he could have jumped all over Steve like he did to me :D I thought he (Huds not Steve ) was going to be a much bigger pain in the a** than he actually was yesterday so I'm proud of him for that. Thanks again Julie for loaning me the crate!!! -

To be completely honest, I am not 100% sure. He is very dominant over my other dog (they get along fantastic though) but when we're walking and he sees other dogs he stiffens and it's hard to break his concentration from them. He'll bark but I'm unsure if it's an excited bark or an I-want-to-kill-it bark. Being a Saint Bernard he is STRONG!!! So I haven't wanted to get terribly close to other dogs (for everyone's safety) in order to work it out. He used to come to DOL meets and was fine, up until around maybe 8-9 months old when another dog had a go at him there and ever since he's been a little funny. He's generally better with smaller dogs than big dogs though. -

Yeah sold my private lesson ticket but definitely still coming to the group workshop I'm bringing Hudson the Saint, don't think you would have met him before. He's a pain around other dogs Everyone I apologise in advance! Hope he doesn't act up too much. I'm planning to get there around 8.30-9am too to set up my borrowed crate (thanks so much Bully!) and hopefully settle the monster a little bit. Going to be interesting fitting him and the huge crate in the back of my tiny car! Can't wait will see you all there! -

Thanks for that Thanks, mine will only be printed in black and white also. So we just bring our ticket and our dog and our (borrowed!!) crate, and rock up at 9.30am on Saturday? Or are people getting there a little earlier or? -
LOL it says that at the bottom of my local Hog's Breath menu: "Warning! Unattended children will be given a shot of espresso and promised a puppy!" :D Gold! :D

What do we have to bring on the day? Did we get a ticket or anything we need to print out and bring to the workshop? I've received so many emails from K9 Pro (my fault not their's!) now that I can't even remember! -
LOL Onsntillnflash! I'd consider trading Hudson, he's the bugger of the two! But Zeph is an angel, he's not going anywhere! (I'm joking, wouldn't give up either for the world ) TICKET HAS BEEN SOLD!

BUMP again Will accept $250, that's $100 off the price of a normal private lesson.

Raw Bones + Warm To The Touch
cassie replied to all that glitters's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Ditto, call me mean too! ;) Then again neither of my boys have ever turned their nose up at any food. Maybe as the weather is getting cooler she doesn't like the bones so cold, would make sense Some good suggestions in here though
