Does anyone know of a good and trusted vet in the Adelaide Hills area? We are moving to Mt Barker at the end of July. Have done a search and found plenty of course, but I much prefer to work with a good referal than a Yellow Pages listing. I do have an extremely good vet at Lewiston who I would always travel to for any surgeries, xrays, etc. But as far as vaccinations and general check ups go, I'd like someone a little closer. Thanks in advance

This one seems to be the cheapest, thankyou so much

Please show us a pic of a pink CAO when you're done!

Yes you will get to meet him! We should be there on the 7th of July I'm pretty sure, before our first show on the 10th - eeeek!

Thanks so much that'd be great if you could! And thanks for your good luck wishes, we are very excited

I have heard a few people mention show training classes that are held in/near Mt Barker somewhere, does anyone have the exact details? I know about the Rottweiler club show training on the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights and we will be attending this in a couple of weeks as soon as Moose is 3 months old, however we are actually moving to Mt Barker at the end of July so this other show training would be very convenient! Thanks in advance!

Yes I was there! Was that you and Esky I saw standing around? I was admiring this big red Husky but didn't click that that was you guys! Do you show?

Thanks for that.

Hi all, is there a good online store that people frequent to buy their doggy grooming products, mainly shampoos? I am specifically after Bio Groom, both the white and the black. The only place so far that I've seen it for sale is at the SACA shop and they only had the small bottles when I was there last. Wondering if I can buy it in bulk somewhere to save some dollars. Thanks in advance

Ahh I see, thanks! Gee how early do people get there on the Sunday then in order to grab a good spot??

If you need someone to sit with, Holly is in SA bred bitch so we will be there, unless your bub grows quick enough to need a BIG box by then! Thanks for the offer, very kind of you I have no idea how it works, can you request who you'd like to be benched next to? There will be some more Bernese there that day, some babies some adults, so I assumed we'd all be together but not really sure!!! My breeder is doing all this tricky stuff for me lol :p

We might come to the next meet with the new addition! :D

Thanks for the info, will start incorporating some of these ideas into our every day feeding and training

I certainly hope so because I haven't entered my baby puppy yet but we'll definitely be there!
-
I'd be interested in a good book for someone new to showing also, if there are any recommendations

Breeders usually remove a puppy's rear dew claws (on his or her back legs) soon after birth. Front ones are generally kept on.

Hi guys. Moose is certainly not my first puppy but I honestly don't remember how to fix this problem, I know Zephyr used to do it as well, but how did I break him from it? Can't remember!!! When I give Moose a treat (eg. for sitting, coming when called, whatever) he is so excited that he bites my fingers. Those little puppy needles bloody hurt! Thanks in advance

Thanks Moose and Zephyr are getting along so well! First couple of days Zephyr just seemed a little annoyed by his puppy antics, but now they are great. Moose absolutely adores him, and anything big brother Zephyr does, he wants to do too. Zeph has a drink, so Moose has a drink! Very cute to watch. Jolly - that is the perfect word for him! He takes delight in everything! Being a puppy seems like a pretty good life ;) Haha I won't tell her you said that :p Her pups are gorgeous from the pics I've seen! Add to that our inexperience, so they will be very hard to beat But hey we're just out to have some fun Moose has one brown splodge on the side of his nose (it's how I could tell him apart from his brothers and sisters when I first met them all ) and a couple tiny black freckles but that's all. The freckles are not overly desirable for a show dog, although I like Zephyr's

Smiley boy: Taking over Zephyr's bed: Zeph reminding me who's top dog: Tuckered out after a big day: And the look on his face in this one cracks me up!

Eeeek now I feel stupid! Ros mentioned the club show to me, and I assumed it was an annual thing??? She mentioned the VIC specialty as well, I just thought they must be held every year, although she didn't say this, that's just my silly brain The show on the 10th of July is at Angle Vale, website just says "More details to come" so I don't know anything else sorry! Can't wait for your babies to meet my baby, what fun! :D No they don't take that much work really, they aren't difficult to groom. Although having said that I've never had to care for a show coat before so ask me again in 18 months Photos uploading now!!!

Thankyou everyone!!! Just promise not to laugh??!!! His first show will be the annual Bernese Club of SA specialty on 10th July (perfect timing for us! He turns 3 months the week before) and then I'm sure we'll be out at SACA soon after that for anyone who wants to come say hi. First few nights have gone well, he woke us up once at 4.30am his first night, took him out to toilet then straight back to bed (wish I'd discovered crate training years ago now!) and last night he slept right through! Will add some more pics soon, have got some great smiling ones! :D

No you can just have the one, I know of some breeders with a single prefix who breed two breeds.
