I didn't even know Rotties got trimmed! But yes when you start dreaming big you can get a little carried away, I do anyway Especially now that I've been bitten by the showing bug! Hey how did Willow's Dad go on Sunday? I prefer Sumo's head too, so does Sassy's mum, but then again we both expected that purely because he's a male. There are features on Sassy that I prefer over Sumo though. If I could grab parts a, b, c off him and d, e, f off her, I think I'd have the perfect pup! :laugh: (I'm kidding really, he's perfect as he is :p )

This has probably been answered already, but when submitting a manual entry (so far I've done them all online with ozentries) do you make the cheque out to the club or the show manager? Or the "Entries to..." person? In this case it's the Murray Valley Kennel Club, the show manager is Mr M Gabell and it says "Entries to Ms M Smith..." with an address. I thought maybe that's only who you address your entry to, and you make the cheque out to the club. Would that be correct? And one cheque for both the Sat and Sun shows, but separate entry forms, right? Thanks!

Thanks for thinking of me :) I have actually been looking there too as I want a grooming table (and a hydrobath, and a dryer!) Haha seems like there's no limit if you really want to go all out. I keep telling Josh, once I've got everything it really isn't a very expensive hobby. Little does he know I don't think the day will ever come when I have everything! :laugh:

I have discovered (actually OH discovered) that Sumo loves playing fetch with a tennis ball! I have never heard of a Saint Bernard who enjoyed fetching! He is hilarious to watch, we only play inside on the carpet with him and roll or bounce the ball a small distance, but he goes hurtling after it with his big ears flapping wildly and practically tripping over his big paws :laugh: it's so cute! And he has been known to bash into a wall or two when he couldn't stop!

I actually saw a Toller baby on the weekend and was quite smitten! She was a real cutie as is Tango :) Good luck in Minor! We have another show on this Saturday.

I'm looking for recommendations on a good, large, strong and sturdy grooming table. Preferably one with an arm but I guess I can purchase that separately if need be. Dog in question is a Saint Bernard, only a baby now but the table needs to potentially hold 100kg. Also recommendations on where to buy would be great. Thanks in advance :)

He sounds like a great judge! Taking the time to educate etc, hopefully the exhibitors are taking it all in :) Very different to a normal show :)

Three days wow! That is one massive specialty! Good luck to them all When you say the judge has been hard to please, has he been expressing a disliking for any dogs at all? Or not awarding any classes? I hope Willow's Dad does well :) Glad her Mum had a good critique too!

Awww Gus! A puppy warming, how cool! Dory I didn't realise the Rott specialty was over two days, wow there must be so many entries! Do they do different classes on different days? Or have different judges? Bet you've loved seeing them all! :)

Yes I think I might be hooked now :laugh: We both had a great day. Sumo is awesome he takes everything in his stride, all the new sights, smells, sounds, plus he met a million new people and dogs too. Everyone loved him and they all wanted cuddles! Which was fine by him. We are both pretty pooped now though, he's just gobbled down his dinner and has crashed out on the kitchen floor. I don't think I'll be far off bed either. Thanks for the congratulations :)

A papillon won baby in show, but that's ok I am so ecstatic with his group win! :D A great start for us.

Sumo's first show today and he won Baby of Breed (beat his sister, although it was very close!) and then went on to win Baby of Group! I am so so so happy! We are waiting to go in for Baby of Show, will report back later :)

:laugh: I can't wipe the smile off my face and I wasn't even there! And she's not even my dog! :D

Sumo's sister Sassy (say that 5 times fast!) went Best Baby Puppy In Show today at Barmera! Woohoo so pleased!!! We weren't entered today, we'll be out there tomorrow :)
