So sorry for your loss Pops. She is so beautiful
-
So sorry Moops. As others have said, Jack was a special DOL dog. Thank you for sharing him with us. RIP most handsome Jack

In Victoria, runs must be a minimum size, as per the size of the dog, by law so you might want to check if there's any requirements like that in SA before you commit to something. For example, for an Amstaff height dog, the enclosure must be minimum of 10m2.

General rule of thumb in melbourne is that unless it strictly says 'no pets' then the landlord may be negotiable on pets. It can be hard to find property, however I have found a pet resume, and also building a rapport with the agent to be helpful. Exchange a few emails prior to applying etc. make them fall in love with you so that when your application comes through they remember who you are and you're not just words on a page. If I, as a single person with 3 cats, and 2 dogs can get a 2year lease at a place, then you definitely should be able to! Persistence is the key. Twice, it's taken me over 4 months to find a place. Oh, you also won't find many good rentals around this time of year. You'll need to start looking in February, and March when everything picks up again.

Three years today my beautiful Rinsey Girl. I still think of you every day, and wish I could smidge your velvet ears all over my face, or spoon with you on the floor. I hope you are having a good time at the Rainbow Bridge, and looking after Mishy and Cujo for me. I just looked back on my last post, and I've virtually said the same things I miss. You are so special to me my heart dog

Sorry for your loss, Wednesday. She was a beautiful girl. RIP Viva

I used this company for my cat, Cujo when he passed away. They were fantastic, and handled me well considering how distraught I was. Everything came back in lovely order, and with nice poems and such.

My Beautiful Girls: Maddie 2000-2013 And Kc 2002-2013

Terribly sorry for the loss of your two gorgeous girls. Please be kind to yourself, and take care. RIP Maddie & KC running together, without pain or illness -
My theory is that they need to start reporting things as a different 'breed' because saying every dog bite is from a Pitbull, is admitting that their legislation isn't working. I could be just a conspiracy theorist though

Oh Perse, I am so terribly sorry that you have lost your gorgeous Mr. Wilson. You made a brave choice, which would have been an awful one to make. I really feel for you, and am shedding tears at work for your loss. RIP Most handsome Ginger feral, Mr. Wilson.

Oh, I have only just seen this. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss Jules. RIP handsome Joey -
Stunning photos! Eta: I'm really, really enjoying the pictures you've taken. You've managed to capture a lot of things/activity that you don't normally get to see. It's fun, and interesting!

Awww look at him! He is very lucky indeed. Maybe until you get a chance to replace the glass on all the door panels, you could put some sticky tape crosses on them, or maybe just some clear school book contact? Won't stop him breaking them, but will hopefully prevent injury if he does!
-
That's awesome news! Glad everything went well for Scout, and for Koda.
-
Ah thank you, didn't know about the difference. Laminated makes much more sense I only know this because I had to replace the same window 3 times, and it took me that many times to realise I actually needed laminated glass
-
Please use laminated glass, not safety glass (toughened glass). Safety glass is designed to shatter into a million tiny pieces if broken. Laminated glass will crack, but no shards or pieces to cut yourself on will fall out as the broken glass is between two sheets of laminate
-
I would be the same! I hope Scouts surgery goes smoothly, and that he recovers quickly. I have been lucky that despite Loki smashing 6 windows (by jumping through them) the worst he's done is graze a little skin off his leg. My advice would be to get that window replaced with say, a 6mm laminated glass so that he can't smash it by accident again.

Oh, she is so pretty. I am very sorry for your loss RIP Brandi

Exactly this. My regular vet are more highly priced (I don't want to use the word expensive, because it's not) than others, but the service/s they provide are exceptional. They have onsite X-ray, Ultrasound, and Pathology. None of those facilities would come cheap to the practice owner, but it's a 'one stop shop' for me, so I am ok with that. Not to mention, because of the excellent relationship I have with my Vets, they try and save me money where possible ie. Giving me prescriptions to get Lokis regular meds from the Pharmacy, instead of paying 530% (literally) more from the Vet. Also, after just having a Cat in 24 Hour Emergency care for a little under a week, their prices, whilst they add up quickly, were actually CHEAPER than my normal Vet. So things like X-rays, blood tests, and 'boarding' were billed at a lower rate than I would pay normally. People just like to piss and moan about anything they don't understand, or don't place value you. *insert rolly eye man*
