I think the dog in the picture is in some serious strife Here's lokis bits... For comparison as you can see his balls are at the end of his love muscle Axles teste's probably havent dropped yet so you might not be able to see them. You'll also find that they will be down one day and up the next

Ruffles replied to squeak's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
We feed lamb shanks all the time... As soon as I hear crunching of bones though they are taken away. You just need to supervise -

How Can We Go About Getting Prong Collars
Ruffles replied to jesomil's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I definately agree with you on that one Erny! I was thinking about this last night... There are people that I would just not want to have prongs. I wouldnt be opposed at all to having the legislation changed so that you had to have the instruction of a qualified trainer before being able to use one. -

I am way too scared... Loki is THE most embarrassing dog ever. He snarls and growls and goes nuts, whilst wagging his tail, crying and trying to pull you're arm off. All in all a VERY behaved dog -

Amstaff 1 yo, 29kgs - 2 & 2/3s Cups Euk perfomance (1 cup in morning, 1 &2/3s at night) plus vegie mush, chicken necks or Lamb flaps and Yoghurt or an egg. Neo Mastiff X 3 yo almost, 35kgs( ) 4-5 Cups Euk Perfomance, Vegie Mush, CHicken necks AND Lamb flaps, yoguhrt or an egg. This is a Gaining wieght diet, not her normal one. So thats almost 8 cups a day, or 56 cups a week. Probably about 2 kgs of Chicken necks, 1kg of Lamb Flaps, 500g Veggies a week... Their Vegie Mush/Raw mix also has chicken frame bits in it.

Alright, had blood tests done. Everything is A-OK in that department so they are leaning towards a pancreatic (sp?) or Malabsorbtion issue. Arby, She is has been eating more than she normally does and Rinse is VERY bad, those pics dont show it but when we walked into the Vet yesterday he Gasped and said "Oh My, look at you..." The Vet would like us to feed her some more, excersise her less for the next month. If there is no improvement its in for an endoscopy and biopsy :D Hesapandabear, we have thought about changing to Nutro but its not looking like a food problem. She eats plenty, eats healthy.. her Bloodtests showed she is in perfect health that way but yeah, I dunno... we'll see how we go over the next month

Thanks! Does anyone think I should try and get a urine sample and take that just in case??

Depending on the circumstances of the bite... If a dog of mine bit, lunged at, attacked a person or myself for no reason then Sorry Mate but GOODNIGHT. I own an amstaff (will have more in the future) and there is something seriously wrong if that is what he is doing and I would no tolerate it. I couldnt put someone at risk like that. On the other hand, if my dog bit someone who was physically threatening myself or my home then I'd give him a treat and say "Well Done". In the end it really is all dependent on circumstances I believe

I just dont think adding extra carbs will help, she was a great weight not so long ago eating the same thing. Now she eats more than before and she is loosing weight... Very scary. Sorry, not having a go (if it seems like I am) I value everyones opinion and advice. I cant talk to our vet about diet, he's a "You shouldnt give your dogs raw food" kinda guy Fingers crossed its nothing feral, she's my baby

Thats mondays plans She's been physically checked over by the Vet but yeah blood tests for monday unfortunately. ETA: Does anyone know how long results take to get back?
-
She's already on Euk perfomance which is 45% fat I'm a bit loathe to give her more Carbs as there is already a carb content of 28% in her dry plus she gets her raw mix (veggies, chicken necks/wings or Lamb flaps, yoghurt, oily fish) which means she would get carbs from the Veg aswell. She is eating plenty, its just not helping her at all edited: to make more sense

Ok I was chasing Rinse around last night to get some pics! She had just eaten her dinner when I took them, as I said because she is dark its kind of hard to see her condition but you can get the general idea.

Nekhbet, she is very active. Is always running around like a headless chook. She has a metabolism like I dunno what! She is stil eating but is losing weight even though her eating habits havent changed. Phatdex, I dont think I have any pictures of her, the problem is, because she is black it is VERY hard to get pics that have any definition at all. But Take my word for it, she is skinny. I like my dogs fit and am happy to see a little Rib but the bones on her back near her tail are sticking through her skin. As a guess I'd say she'd stand about 70cm at the shoulder (perhaps a little more) and weighs like 30 kgs (maybe less!!) and considering her "breed" she should be heavier. I'll see if I can find any pictures though
