Very sorry for your loss I adore goats and would prefer them over dogs sometime I think! I'm sorry Collie is mourning too, Loki is mourning right now and it is making things so much harder

we use Muscaban. Just smells like lemons and works a treat... we even use it on our clothes if we are out in the garden or whatever, keeps the flies at bay

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I dont think it has fully sunk in yet that he isnt ever gonna be on my bed in the morning or harassing me for food when I come home from work Poor Loki is in a spot today, not knowing where his good pal is. He keeps looking in the bedroom (which he never goes in without an invite) and checking the dining chairs, under the table, on top of the couch and of course, Cujo is no where.

I just came back from giving my precious cat Cujo his wings. The Vets still were unsure what was wrong with him but I didnt want them doing more tests when the 3 things that were a possibilty werent really treatable anyway. He has been on oxygen all day and when I got there he didnt even look at me... just laid on my lap with his head hanging over my arm, trying to purr through laboured breaths. I remember the day my Mum bought Cujo home for me, he cost me $15 from the Chirnside Park pet shop... he was my best friend. I grew up with him and he has saved my life many times, now he is gone and I dont know what I will do. I am happy he is pain free but so desperately sad that he is gone. RIP my gorgeous "Boy I tell you, folks dont know the half I would give it all up... Just to take one ride with you"

Yes you will!! I've NEVER EVER been able to cut Loki's nails.... ever not once has he had a full paw done in two years. But, the other day with some persistance I clipped every single nail without argument. Go us He had always been fine with people touching his nails but the second you put somethin to them, even if it was a pen he would loop out. What I did (and I hate it because I dont like food rewards) was put him in his crate (where he feels most safe) and held is foot with the clippers in my other hand some distance away. Gave him a treat when he didnt move. Repeated this a few times till he stopped flinching at the sight of the clippers. Then I put the clippers on his foot, rewarded when he didnt move away or be a fruit cake. Then, put the clippers over a nail (did not cut) then left it for a moment, then rewarded. Repeated each step until I actually clipped a nail. The second I clipped the first nail I jammed a treat in his mouth "good boy", then kept going. By the end of the first foot we could move from the crate into an open area. By the end of the second paw I didnt need to (food)treat on every clip, then probably half way through 3rd paw I just did the rest with no treats and praise. Sorry for the long procedure but it really helped us, and as I said, we have not once been able to clip his nails. We just assumed we'd have to wait till he had to go under anesthetic (for some reason) to have it done. But we persevered and WON!!

When Loki picked up fleas from somewhere we gave him capstar (in conjunction with his Sentinal Spectrum) and we found it to have no effect at all... Go figure!! I wonder why
