My boss at work had no idea I slept next to the whelping box and then saw my mattress next to the box on my live cam feed and was like no wonder you look tired Congrats on the litter :)

I can see why you need collars to indentify them. all fat and shiny and sleek, so beautiful. Yeah though all have differing amounts of white on their chests so I could tell them apart. This is far easier though!

Sorry I can't get down there this year Would have loved to be at his first shows!
-
In the exhibitor section put in the breeders number and name but in address put c/- your address so you get his number :)
-
No you can't enter a baby with the number "pending" - you must have their rego number on the form when you enter. I think you should be able to get your papers back in plenty of time. And most shows you can enter online and they close a bit later so don't stress :)

I agree Diva, money honestly doesn't come into my breeding plans. Two sires can be useful say if you had an older dog that might have declined in fertility and a younger and more virile yet unproven son of his. Covers your bases.

We saw it coming but it just missed us. Very dark clouds, lots of thunder but not much rain. Apparently only a few km down the road got a drenching!

Virtual Show To Support Those Affected By Fires
poocow replied to Keshwar's topic in General Dog Discussion
You just enter your dogs, thats it. Its pretty much a donation. Theres no winners but there is a full catalogue of all the entries. Dogs can be past or present. Its all in support of a good cause -
Yes if it's open online by all means enter.

Just champion level (well at this stage, who knows what the future holds). I have kept every challenge just in case.
-
Yes, my boy is both an Australian Champion and a Neuter Champion. 100 points is needed for a dog to become a champion. If you win dog challenge you get 5 points + 1 point for every dog you beat including yourself (so default points is 6) If you then go on to win best of breed you get 5 points + for every dog and bitch you beat including yourself. There is a maximum of 25 points that can be earned in one show. e.g You win BOB (8 points) and then go on and win Best in Group (100 exhibits) you get a max of 25 points. The same points system applies for neuter (so default is 6 points). However you don't get anymore points for beating other breeds at group level. Points are only accrued at breed level. You can start accruing points once your dog is 6 months old. You only earn points by taking out a challenge (ie. no points if you just place 1st in your minor puppy class) - the judge has to award you a challenge.
-
There is no time limit (well except death really). No the points earned as an entire are separate to the points earned as a neuter.

Haven't organised my show schedule up to then But I'm sure I will see you around :)

I use a snake chain on both my Aussies, they aren't used to check the dog, they are just a device to connect the dog to you. Plus the way the chains lie don't affect how the coat sits - if you were to show in a flat collar it would affect the way the dog looks. Daisy - are you entering any shows soon. Happy to help you if needed :)

Do very sorry MM, how heartbreaking

You cannot take a pup out of the country without an export certificate from DAFF. Depending on the country it is going to I can tell you the requirements. But as a minimum it is a vet check within the 3 days prior to travel and vaccinations done. Health check must be done by a DAFF accredited vet and then export paperwork picked up from DAFF.

Thanks TSD, definitely something I'll look into with Moo

My first 2 dogs were a cocker and a BC. When I decided to get into showing I settled on a Field Spaniel and I will hopefully never be without one, simply the best, most loving dogs ever I also love my Aussies, they are a great fit in with my Field and lots of fun to work with.

They are all up now

Yep, the plush puppy grooming area is there again! Awesome - thanks
