Fair enough. I guess as much as I pay someone to look after my dog while I'm away, I still worry about him, that's the kind of person I am. I guess I would have liked to know about his general behaviour, e.g. his barking and eating, so that I could assess whether or not this was normal for myself, and consider that in the context of whether I would leave him there again. Just a helpful hint then, when you ring up - ask those questions you want to know the answer to. Not a generic hows my dog...they might not know that you want that answer to include things about his eating and pooping schedule.

Day 12 - my dogs an idiot...he likes to sunbake in the heat...

Didn't post as I can't join in with the training.

The kennel I managed charged per calendar day (unless picked up before 9:30am on the day of departure). Grooming was extra but any long coated dogs got brushed every 3-4 days. As for him losing weight, well kennels are a high stress environment, dogs need to be fed extra to maintain their weight. I always fed extra to what you would feed in a home environment. The person on the phone does seem a bit short with you but they could have been busy. Btw the price is very reasonable.

Well Field Spaniels are in the minority so well done you I will make the call on dog or bitch once the litter is born. Depends what is available to me. Morgie can always go to her breeder when shes in season later on if we get a dog.

Yeah its why I only go to my dog park where I know the dogs and the people. And now that I have moved its once in a blue moon as I am often showing and can't get there...or when I can the Moo decides to come into season I wasn't implying my dogs resource guard but I do know one Mal at my dog park does get tetchy when food is involved. Plus Darcy is most definitely not allowed treats!!! My poor friend nearly got tackled by me when he thought he was innocently giving Darcy one of his own dogs treats...poor guy felt so bad he thought he was being nice!

OKS Trolleys

Yeah an Aussie Sammy - which trolleys are you getting? Am on the hunt for a 2nd. We went with everyones advise and are getting 2 x OKS Engineering ones so exciting getting all this new stuff! They are top Trying to see if any 2nd hand ones pop up on the classifieds otherwise will get another new one.

What are you getting? Its not a brand name one just a second hand four berth it looks really neat and tidy and we will only have to do one or two things to make it perfect. Now we just need the extra doggies to fill it hehe! Awesome My trailer won't be making the trip, but we took it to Wollondilly and it was great! Yeah I told OH today that even though we will be getting a 4th dog this year to really fill our 4 berth we need 8 dogs And, how did he feel about 8 dogs? He looked like he was going to pass out
