Welcome!!!! Poocow and Goldenwei do show training at castle hill...I think they do anyway...not sure who else, but I'm sure they will be along soon enough to tell you all about it!!! Can I request some pics of you puppy? Have met a couple of Lappies now and is all I have to say about that! Our third show is this weekend, and yep, am hooked too. I think there is show training at Castle Hill on Tuesday nights at 7:30om. I go to Luci Ellem out at Austral, however I believe she has finished for the next month so classes won't be happening until after ANZAC weekend.... Poocow maybe able to confirm that though, I didn't go this week. Where abouts are you located mentmint? Oh, and Welcome Shows how much I know I thought you and Poocow went to castle hill silly me shall have to remember that! Nope I've only ever gone to Luci's Classes will resume on April 27th - she teaches on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and also Wednesday during the day.

At this stage not all shows offer neuter classes. This might change after 1 July with the introduction of the Neuter Championship. Neuter classes: 15 - puppy neuter 16 - junior neuter 17 - intermediate neuter 18 - open neuter An A is added after the class number for bitches. At the moment if clubs are offering neuter classes they only seem to be offering Class 18. We don't get that many here in NSW but it might be different in SA.

Both Indonesia and Macau require import permits and certain criteria to be met. Ok, wasnt sure about that. I know the Netherlands dont have it. The Netherlands must have an EU certificate and a rabies vaccination at least 21 days prior to departure (basic EU conditions)

You cannot import from Indonesia. Macau is a Group 4 country - provided you adhere to the rabies and RNATT protocol it is a minimum of 30 days in quarantine. This is an expensive process, kennelling would be cheaper.

Taken from the RAS site: The Domestic Animals Committee would like to inform exhibitors that Conformation Judge, Mr De Naveda Carrero will be unable to fulfil his judging appointment due to ill health. The Committee has been fortunate to secure the services of International All Breeds Judge, Mr Adrian Landarte from Uruguay. Mr Landarte will judge all groups and breeds originally scheduled for Mr Carrero.

Why not? Aim for the top! Comment removed What did I miss here? Nothing My edited version - my bitch hasn't fully coated up compared to the dogs so not expecting to beat them. She will mature into her own, as her mother did in time though.
-
You are so lucky Deb to have an OH who lets you have as many as you want! Damn my OH and his limits

I made the mistake of taking Lincoln to show class before he was properly prepared and he freaked out from all the noise/dogs/being in the weired acoustics of the undercover area. So now I am slowly building up to take him again. I think taking Willow before she is actually expected to do anything, other then be there is a good idea. I'm not against taking a pup there to acclimatise it, just it's safer when fully vaccinated. You don't know the vaccination status of the other dogs there, plus she wouldn't be allowed to interact with the dogs. For me it would just be too much of a risk, I see the after effects of parvo in my boy and it's just not worth it IMO.
-
Yeah I just wouldn't want to take the risk when a pup isn't fully vaccinated.

Not familiar with QLD but in NSW we have to buy a booklet of forms or use the template/program online (not affiliated with Dogs NSW). Those forms are for booking shows etc
-
You don't have to pay to sit and watch. But personally I'd be more inclined to bring Pheonix and learn how to handle as that can be transferred over to Willow. I would wait to bring Willow until she's fully vac'd.

Whats perfect? I dont think Kite will ever know what perfect is good love her little cotton socks More about getting my handling perfect to show her off to her best. I've gone back to using bait before going in the ring and it got a lot more drive out of her on Sunday.
