Next year it isnt going to be there.. I heard its being move to where woolies is.. They said that this year we weren't meant to be there either but we were. I just wish we had more bench space, we were so cramped.
-
I didn't find the stewards rude, but we were first breed on and ready to go in the marshelling area well ahead of time. It was my first time at the Ekka, I don't think I'll go back - not a fan of the toileting area and they squished us with Fields in what would best be described as a toy-sized benching area while the maltese had these huge big benches. That just didn't make sense!!!

I've got 2 breeds in different groups and usually end up clashing - I'm just glad I have great friends who will run the Moo in for me! If you want a smaller breed to consider a Field bitch might be the way to go, Moo is often used in junior handlers. If you want to stick in G3 - maybe a Lagotto?

Flying A Dog To Shanghai , China. Need Info!
poocow replied to lovemesideways's topic in General Dog Discussion
As I've told you before PLEASE use a transport company here to do the legwork with AQIS for all your paperwork and they will set you up with an agent over in China, you have already received contacts for that too. Not sure who in AQIS would have told you rabies could be done a week before, that is incorrect. It is always recommended to do it at least 21 days prior when traveling to a rabies affected country. The conditions are as follows a vaccination at least 14 days to 1 year prior to travel for - - C3 - Rabies A vet inspection within 24 hours prior to departure This is for someone traveling pax on board. To send a dog unaccompanied is a giant pain in the arse and I would not recommend it to anyone. -

No, direct importation from China is not permitted. As stated before the dog must go to an AQIS approved country (ie Hong Kong) and stay there for 6 months and complete its necessary prep work before being imported into Australia. -
It should be fine, its a Trickey trailer but I'll make sure its all above board. If not I'll sell this one and look for a 4 berth with a wardrobe or rack.
-
Hey Miss B - just bumping this up, did you have any luck getting one? I'm after a similar thing for my trailer but I'm in Sydney.

Baby in Show - Samoyed -
I'm sorry Gayle but really?! MOST people start off grooming babies as they will an adult only on a smaller scale. Exactly, its all part of their training - they get used to it and you learn on a much smaller scale. Imagine trying to learn and wrestle a full-sized Aussie that really doesn't want to be chalked
