  1. If you read the info the tag also has the actual internet address and pet id number so you can use a computer and go direct to it. I like the fact if you change details you just update their page - no new tag required and it also can store a lot more info. As I said though I don't leave collars on so would be no use for mine anyway. Has reminded me that I need to update my girl's microchip details though.
  2. I saw these come up on my Facebook feed and though some people here might be interested. I don't leave collars on my guys so they wou;dn't do me much good but for those that do they are great. I like the look fo the flat 1s that slide onto a collar. The 1s that come already on a collar are a great buy too. $12.00 including a lupine collar. They have free worldwide shipping on as well. Furcode Effective Works world-wide two ways: Scan the tag’s QR Code with a smartphone Type the unique URL listed on the back of the tag into any web browser Providing the ability to easily update a pet’s critical information with a couple strokes of the keyboard allows FurCodes to pick up where traditional pet tags and microchips fall short: Provides direct contact to the person that finds your pet; no need to visit a Shelter or Vet office Multiple contacts: 3 phone numbers, email, vet, Facebook and Twitter Update your Pet’s information from anywhere in real time 24/7 You manage your pet’s information with no third party intervention Durable laser etched aluminum Waterproof
  3. That's beautiful Goldielover. I bet the residents were thrilled with the special visitors :) My guys are 3 weeks old and growing like weeds. I can waste many hour watching them as they interact with each other and the things around them.
  4. Love the expressions CC, lol Week 3 puppy Christmas pic done. think this is getting harder not easier. I'm running out of ideas and they are getting way more mobile and harder to keep in place. It took 1 hour of tiring them out today before I could manage this. LOL
  5. How did I miss this before? Brilliant photo. Love it!! :)
  6. Hey that's not fair that you got to have a good night's sleep and then she whelped easily in the morning!!! LOL Congratulations though and hope that little NBT girl is a stunner for you with the right temperament and desire to work too :)
  7. If you have a collie breed and are worried, have them DNA tested for MDR1 sensitivity. If they are positive then you will know for sure and it is worth knowing as it is not just ivermectin that is an issue, there is a long list of drugs and mdr1 affected dog should not be given.
  8. So cute!! How many pairs of hands and how much time did that take? I struggle putting 2 in position. LOL
  9. Jazz: Get her back in condition after her litter an finish her JD and AD titles. Possibly JDX depending on how long JD takes Complete tarted B sheep title A pass or 2 in intermediate A sheep Have a go at advanced A ducks Maybe a rally trial or 2? As yet unnamed puppy: Have fun - this is the big 1! Play about with some shows for socialising Lots of foundations in obedience, agility and herding - keep it fun!! Possibly instinct cert and PT at end of year, if not at least Instinct cert Aim to be working at a good level in obedience/rally and obedience by the end of the year with intent of having a go at CCD/Rally Novice at BC Nationals early in 2014. Of course all of this with puppy requires my 1 and only girl to make the grade and hang around :)
  10. That is why I figured ask and go with what your vet is comfortable with :) I believe (and someone with more knowledge than me can answer this) that the sensitivity of the machine and the experience of the scanner can impact this. Mine says 23 days but before 30 for a more accurate count ans they have been right with mine both times.
  11. Check with your vet, the age seems to vary. My vet says 23 days and others say closer to 28 so I went with about 26 days.
  12. My whelping box is setup so the bitch can safely get in and out but the pups can't, the water bowl is placed 1 or 2m away.
  13. You are at the same fun stage as me :) We had eyes open on Friday but the boy had been up and sort of walking (wobble, wobble, crash... lol) a few days before that. The girl is rapidly catching up and is up on her feet a lot now too. They have also found their voices and started trying to play. It is so cute except when 3am becomes a good time to ark and growl!
  14. A discovery I made this weekend. Worming day is MUCH easier with only 2 puppies compared to 9. And when 1 is black and 1 is red there is no fear at all of doing a puppy twice and missing someone else, lol.
  15. Good luck Leopuppy. Have you made a decision on if you thin she is hiding many in there or not?
  16. Oh that was fun :) Here we go:
  17. Rottie, Dally, Pap Pug, Sibe, Lhasa BC, Poodle, Bernese Shar Pei, Frenchie, ? Cav, Bichon, Dobe
  18. Yes she is, and she was on them even when she got it from the C-section. I will admit to not being as vigilant with checking as I should have been as I was under the false impression that as she was on antibitotics she probably wouldn't get it.
  19. What a bugger Pockets Mastitis is awful and hits so quickly. With Jazz I have been getting the pups to feed off of it and try and keep it empty. Difficult with only 2 pups though. I'm not sure if it tastes different but they seem less keen to feed from it and I had the same issue last time. Although with 9 pups last time it was easier as there weren't many other alternatives for pups and I would swap around between the biggest pups who was on it. In the first day or 2 I was also using cold compresses to try and get some heat out of it and then massaging it myself in between. She came good pretty quickly although I just felt her before and thought it feels a little hard again so will go in there in a moment and give it another massage and put a pup on it.
  20. Oh bugger. Ah well, still a good deal. Jessi the beagle has most definitely staked her claim and has abandoned the lounge in favour of the bed last night and again tonight. I think it is the best dog bed we have! If I didn't have a pile of vouchers for bags of food that I had won and need to be used I would be tempted to go back for a second bag and a spare bed :)
  21. Excellent! Thank-you. That would have helped when deciding when to put Jazz on a plane a couple of months ago.
  22. So cute Evolving! :) My red boy found his legs today and is taking some very wobbly (but very cute) steps. I think he would find it easier if he could see where he was going. Both of them look close to having eyes open, I actually expected to see them open when I got home from work today, I didn't expect to see wobbly little steps. I guess I can;t call him a fat slug anymore and his sister doesn't look to be too far behind.
  23. I would hope so given I only got mine about 3:30pm yesterday!
  24. Hmmm, I buy the biggest bag which was $109 for 12 kilo. Around $70 or $80 for the 7kg bag I suppose? I can usually get the proplan at a slightly better price or with a bonus 20% free but with the free bed I wasn't going to worry about the $7 or $8 saving I can get elsewhere.
