  1. I have used Dogtainers for all my overseas exports and never had a problem. Don't forget dogs are being shipped around the world every day of the year.
  2. It happens no matter what list your on. Anywhere they can find an e mail address they try it on all the time. We are all aware of the them.

  4. All house trained here. Don't care where they go as long as it's outside. The lawn are mowed and always short so it's no problem in finding it.
  5. Yes when I came to Tasmania my dogs were sun burnt badly and I had to kennel them during the worst heat of the day. I came from Queensland and forgot about me being closer to the hole in the Ozone layer.
  6. Sorry to long ago now. But I do remember it was the widest gauze I could find and just rapped it around several times and tired it. I like the sock idea as it would work the same. By the way I just cut the gauze off and used another length.
  7. It's easy never leave uneaten food out side. What is not eaten in the time alloted, take away.
  8. All of the above and I have found that increasing the food intake can help some. I have also made little bandages for around the boys. They can wee through but the others can't suck.
  9. It's a dog thing. Possible still a follow on from the pack grooming days.
  10. As usual you get another angle from me. The pup was by all accounts a sick pup from birth, why the surprise it died. I am sorry that the puppy died, nothing worse than to have this happen. But as we say, if you breed enough for long enough you see it all, especially in the case of multiple births. As others have said autopsy.
  11. PDF] Farmnote 37/2002 : Hydatid disease [WA AGRIC] 94k - Adobe PDF - View as html intermediate life cycle in the form of a hydatid cyst' in ... hydatid cysts are commonly several ... can survive freezing for a year and remain infective for ... agric.wa.gov.au/objtwr/.../content/pw/ah/par/fn037_2002.pdf I will be speaking to the local government authority next week.
  12. Liver is absolutely essential in a raw diet, it's where the majority of your vit A and copper come from, among other important things. Please include liver if you're feeding raw! You can be legal and cook it (and still feed the rest of the diet raw), it will still be nutritious & will be safe. I have no idea if freezing would kill the cysts or not. It does kill the sheep measles cysts in lamb meat, which are related. Oakway, do you know if freezing kills the hydatids cysts? No, I have my doubts that it would. I am doing my best to try and find out. Could be in the middle of next week before I could. So far everything points to heat treatment only. If freezing does kill it, it may need to be a much lower temp. than the home freezer is capable of. I will keep the list up dated as to what I can find out. Cheers.
  13. All I can tell you is, that is usually associated with offal. I used bait my dogs in the ring with liver. I use bullocks liver cut it into thin strips and cook it in the microwave at the highest temperature till it is dried out and I have not had a problem. Doesn't mean I won't, but the chances of it doing any harm would have been minimal.
  14. Hi, If the puppy is doing well on the Innova why change it to Advance.
  15. It says in one part, 22 kilo's in weight. I would think, that would not be heavy enough to withstand high winds. I know they are heavy but I have never had a problem with the OzTrail Deluxe.
  16. Now days a vast majority of pups are not vaccinated till 8 weeks of age.
  17. I also forgot to add that the doses that I give my dogs of Ivermectin was was worked out by a vet who breeds so I know it is safe for me to use. Also it is used by many vets to treat skin conditions in dogs. As I have also said previously it can be the basis of many Heart Worm/worming monthly treatments.
