  1. No matter what the size if they are similar, I would go with the safest and the one with the best features.
  2. Keep your fingers crossed and don't give up hope. Thinking of you both.
  3. There is little difference between the inside and the outside dimensions. About a 1/4 of an inch of plastic.
  4. Our Aussie laboratory tests will reveal something if the thyroid issue has progressed to the point that 70% of the thyroid tissue is destroyed. USA tests (Dr Jean Dodds) tests are more thorough and can detect issues a lot sooner than that. Our Aussie analysis is based on the size of the dog. USA tests (Dr Jean Dodds) analysis is based on the size of the dog; the age of the dog; and the breed of the dog. +1
  5. It's simple here, I don't ask for a deposit full stop.
  6. :D That comes under the category of be careful what you wish for.
  7. Best of luck. Let us all know how she is progressing.
  8. Why would you apply for a name you did not like. Ring and ask what the procedure is. Remember the people allocating prefix's would not know it was not acceptable prefix.
  9. I just start my pups of with mince. I never give a measured amount, I just offer each pup a small ball of mince. I never feed milk. As they accept the mince I soak a some dry food and add it to the mince. I also never feed sloppy food to pups.
  10. Maybe he wanted to light the way. Sorry the Devil made me do it. I had a Collie many years ago that ate many packets of Birthday Candles and came to no harm.
  11. Used here all the time for ALL insects just not fleas. No problems at all.
  12. So sorry to hear of the little mans passing. It's never easy being a breeder. Some people have no idea what we have to go through.
  13. Go and have a look a look at products like this. http://www.bondall.com/_webapp_5362/BONDCRETE
  14. Not safe for tiny breed to be left outside unsupervised, even in a pen, at this young age. I paper train my toys inside but do try to put them outside & use the toilet word they are taught, but if its blowing gales & pouring or 45 degrees, its on the paper inside. No problems with them when they go. They know the toilet word & understand. Thick newspaper at one end of the pen & put edges of pen over it. They still play the rip it game at some stage though I tried the puppy pee pads & stuck them down with double sided tape, as someone posted it worked for them. Lucky I checked 10 mins later. 6 funny puppies looking so confused gazed up at me. All with their mouths stuck together with chewed double sided tape. Why carn't they go outside?. What has size to do with it. ;) Plenty of Chi's go out side. As long as they are in a safe and secure pen and in a safe area they may go out side. Don't forget I have Italian Greyhounds to.
  15. Point me in the direction of the International Airport and see how quick the dogs go into kennels. Yes persephone I really do believe what you say is correct. Cheers
  16. I don't believe that any of it is a preventative. In some cases the owners say their dogs have received some relief from using these products. I just think that if these products worked like their manufactures say, we would have people and dogs without joint problems and thats not the case. If you think that you have found a product that will work go for it.
  17. Could be from lack of oxygen. Poor little puppy. Don't feel to bad, it happens to all of us at some time. Good luck with the others.
  18. Paptacular, I am not scolding you in any way, but why aren't they outside ?. Heavens above, I do understand what the what the climate can be like in this country but I always get the pups out somehow. See if you can find the most sheltered area on concrete or earth or bit of both and set up a pen large or small, with with a bed that is fully covered. Often puppies that are not put out to learn to use the outdoors can become very difficult to house train. Yes, I know it's easy for me say as I am set for pups. If you bring them inside of a night time do what I think Becks said, thick layers of newspaper. Yes three or 4 full newspapers deep or more if you wish. Surprise, surprise, you only have to remove the soiled and damp sheets from the top. Have fun with the pups.
  19. dee lee I think you may have misunderstood my comment About ...........This is something that you would not find in Australia............ I was referring to the holding of Dog Shows in the Ball Rooms of prominent Australian Hotels. It would be an extremely rare event to happen in Australia. Plus whole floors of the Hotel being booked out just for the owners and handlers and their four legged exhibits. I was not referring in any way, weather dogs may or may not stay in hotels in Australia.
  20. My beagle bitch Gr Ch Orobay Optical Magic (Macey) has been mated to frozen semen from Am Ch Ha-Pennies Too Much Trouble (Spencer) Still hoping for puppies. And we all pray that you get them. NEVER give hope.
  21. I have noticed that when using bi carb if I spilled some and it comes in contact with some water it appears to dissolve, but should it be a really hot Queensland day, by the time you get back to wiping up the spill the water has evaporated and the bi carb is back to crystals. I wondering if the bi carb was put into water and sprayed on lawns etc. would this be a more effective way for those with fleas to control them. The coverage would certainly be more effective than trying sprinkle it every where. Just a thought. Anybody tried this. Could be a more effective way to get it onto the dog to.
