  1. Nothing changes here, everything is carried on as normal. Once the pups are vaccinated they can go to their new homes in 36 hours.
  2. Why do people have a fear of Parvo when their dogs are vaccinated ?. If you are vaccinated against Rubella you can't catch it, the same with Parvo. This is why we vaccinate.
  3. Exactly. just execute a little common sence when you do see one in a car.
  4. Would the owner of the Thai Ridgeback let us know if they have been accepted for re registration in this country and what group they are in please.
  5. For those that are thinking of obtaining one. Talk to an All Breeds judge that has judged them. Most judges that I have spoken to say you are asked not to touch them. Most judges are pleased to do this as they are usually warned about the breed should they encounter them overseas. I have been led to believe that one is resident in North Queensland. I have checked the ANKC web site and can't find any recognition or allotment for which group it would be in, in Aust.
  6. I just wanted to let you all know that I took your advise and managed to get a great agent in the USA and whats more I found a great dog, errrrrr sorry bitch. Thank you all once again, and now the wait begins.
  7. The cases I have seen personally (3 in the past few weeks) have all been un-vaccinated puppies less than 4 months of age. Thank you for your reply Miss B. I would have thought that this may apply to un vaccinated dogs. Most pups vaccinated at around 8 weeks with a reliable vaccine I believe would have a good immunity to this dreaded disease.
  8. I dont think thats the fair thing to do at all. I think taking the dog back so they dont have the worry of what happens to her is more than enough. I dont think rescue or breeders should have to buy back dogs - that completely de values everything we do in my opinion. +1
  9. Can anyone confirm that these cases are in known vaccinated dogs.
  10. Well I am going to give a reply that may shock many of you. (What's unusually about that LOL) Always remember that you pay for the use of the dog, if you get a result that's all well and good, if you don't a free return is usually offered. Hey people I'm with you. Whatever agreement you make get it in writing and stick to it, even if it hurts.
  11. Thank you all so much. I have taken great note of your replies they are most helpful.
  12. Hi all, I was hoping that someone has recently imported a dog from the States. I have been thinking of getting one from there. I have down loaded all the Import conditions but what do you do first. Could someone advise me of what you do first in regards to the paper work. When you find the right dog in what order do you things ?. I was trying to cut the cost by doing it myself. Cheers.
  13. Hi All, We have had our puppies at last. 10, YES 10. 7 Bitches and 3 Dogs. Good girl Rhyme. Good boy Uno. No photos at the moment, as I am rather busy. I am also looking after Rhymes daughter Pagan for her owner while she has renovations done. Pagan was mated to Nevedith Kfa Krakka and had 8 puppies by C section the day before Rhyme whelped so you will all understand I am rather busy. Cheers from a very tired Jill at Oakway.
  14. Oh dear, I know the feeling well. My best wishes for your bitch/s look what you did for mine. Both due in about a week or less.
  15. How about, I never received one at all.
  16. Congratulations and well done to the mother to be.
  17. Oh what a bummer, very sad news indeed. Better luck next season.
  18. Exactly.. Such a comfort to potential puppy enquirers to know they are going to be treated as if they are any or all of the above, before they even make contact. Yeah, it's no wonder they go eslewhere. Yes tyre kickers and time wasters can go elsewhere. My sentiments exactly.
  19. No never had that problem. All dogs are in a safe situation here, nothing to worry about. Why do you worry if the dogs are in a secure situation.
  20. My only suggestion is take the dog to the local welders and pick the strongest welded metal. Get the people to measure the dog (length and height) to get a good fit. Won't be cheap, but may be a solution.
  21. Why not just purchase a station wagon divider or better still purchase a wagon with a divider already installed.
  22. Not sure what you mean. Do you mean he ate a whole sheet of tablets or do you mean he only had one tablet. If it was one tablet don't worry. If it was a full sheet of tablets keep ringing around for a vet to ask for more information.
