Well done. I would guess at a case of mistaken identy.

We are all aware that that the Spring Fair Committee does a mammoth job. They have a GREAT show and great web site, some people are just disappointed that it was not maintained to the degree that it advertises. Maybe next year if the committee find they are running short of time and unable to put up the Group and In Show results the separate pages for these results could be removed. It was just disappointing to click on the pages advertised and find no results.

Unsure What Is Wrong With My Girl.
oakway replied to BC Crazy's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I would just follow the vets advise and see what happens. By the way it's not an over night cure, it will take some time but it does work. By the way you can all have a good laugh at this. Many moons ago before ivomectin I used to treat the surface of the skin with Mortien. I would spray it onto cotton wool and scrub the area if near and eye, or just spray onto an otherwise non vulnerable area.....always works for me. Hehe. -
How Many Pit Bulls Are There In Australia?
oakway replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
I wasn't having a go, it just wasn't clear to me There are definitely APBTs here, I'm not sure how (or if) they are registered. Can't help you there at all. Pit Bulls have been on the banned list for long now now, I'd have at a guess the originals would have been long gone and if in the hands of shooters they may only exist in the derivatives of their off spring. -

How Many Pit Bulls Are There In Australia?
oakway replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
There was an existing population prior to restriction. I have been led to believe that this is not the case. I have not been shown any records to prove the case so I stand corrected if this is so. Two pure bred Pit Bulls were brought legally into this country many years ago and both went to the Gulf Country. To cut a long story short the dog was shot on the chain as he was so savage and totally unmanageable. The bitch was never bred from and also shot to get her off the shoulder of the owner as she had pinned him down. Just your trivia for the day :D -
and don't forget Bianca was an absolute trooper handling many dogs for people....expertly may I add........ and why would you not be in Brissie next year???????? Because the dog pavalion is being pulled down and some of us are not particually keen on where we have been told we MAY be next year.
-
the first step would to be get the dog checked by a chiro to see if there is a reason for it.

Your vet has told you the truth. Many bitches require a C section but go on to have further litters normally. Good luck with her next litter.

How Many Pit Bulls Are There In Australia?
oakway replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
Wouldn't the answer be none as the fact is, you can not bring certain breeds into this country and the Pit Bull is one of them. How do get a pure bred Pit Bull into the country, other than by illegal means. -
Their is nothing wrong with leaving dogs in cars. Just don't leave them locked in on a hot day. It also depends on where you live in Australia also. If you take your dogs with you as I often do and I have a wagon I usually put the dogs in the crate and if it it's a hot day I just leave the car open.

At a rough guess 10 to 14 days.

Thanks for the site

How do you crush them? My guess would be stick your foot on them.

Looking For A Superior, High Quality Dry Food
oakway replied to littlesquashyguys's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I know, what a shame! It sounds like a fantastic product, but I find the whole idea of Pets Paradise so depressing! Perhaps, if more people complained to Innova Evo about Pets Paradise, they might consider changing to a different distributor? Look I am not sure of the name but I think it Pets Direct ????? well what ever the name they sell Evo. The shop I use is at RiverLink in Ipswich. By the way last time I was inside the Riverlink complex PP appears to have closed down. The entire front of the building was screened off. -
Anthium Dioxide was the second ingredient in liquid Plaque off, not the main, but it's academic as the product no longer contains this ingredient. Anthium Dioxide is an oxygenating agent found in toothpaste, soft drinks and fruit juices. Sodium Benzoate is found naturally in apples, cranberries, plums and in such spices as cloves and cinnamon. Such a tiny amount of the liquid Plaque Off is added to the water, just a few drops really, I doubt there would be any health issues. It's the last ingredient in the liquid Plaque Off. Black Hawk sounds to be a good quality dog food for those who feed kibble. I feed a raw diet with raw meaty bones (which is probably why the dogs have good teeth). If I did feed dry food I couldn't feed Black Hawk because I have a dog with Pancreatitis and the fat content of Black Hawk is 14%. This is too high for a Pancreatitis dog. My older dog is also inclined to put on weight so again I can't feed a diet with a high fat content. Yes, there are two types of Plaque Off, as has been discussed in this thread. The Prodent one sounds good, being a seaweed product. This is the one that's causing customs to give people grief with importation. When it becomes readily available in Australia I will probably change over to that product. The liquid product is manufactured by the Benedent Corporation in Texas USA and marketed here under the Triple-Pet banner. Oakway, are there any additional ingredients in the Prodent Product. If so, would you be kind enough to list them for us. Thanks. Happy to do so.......but the only ingredient is is....specially selected seaweed. Distibuted by Molar Ltd. Wedmore BS28 4EB [email protected] www.molarltd.co.uk Manufactured by SweDenCare AB, Sweden That's about it.

I thought we all did that. If you want to fit them in easier try cutting them through length ways and they fit much better. I use the secateurs.
-
It's manufactured in the USA. I'm happy with the product. Cavaliers usually need dentals every couple of years. My boy is 7 1/2yo and my girl is 6yo. Neither have ever needed a dental and their teeth are good. They had a health and dental check up 4 weeks ago Bummer, thought it may have been made here.
-
All I have to say is....if you Vac. at 6 weeks and sell at 8 weeks and the pup goes down with Parvo at 8 to 9 weeks how are you going to feel about being sued by an irate owner when their vet tells them the new protocols are to vaccinate as close as possible to 8 weeks. This is how we all got onto this problem. At 8 weeks many pups were getting Parvo and they were all vaccinated at 6 weeks. The bitches immunity that is passed onto the pups is not declined enough to allow the vaccine to work, therefore the pup is left unprotected. Your pups your choice.

For goodness sake stop making so much out of this. They may all get along together like a house on fire. Wait and cross your bridges when you come to them. You have got yourself in a state and they have not even arrived. If the worst should come to the worst go and buy yourself a big C crate and put the smaller dog in it. If you don't want to that, put the big one in and tell them to go walk it. It's easy, been there, done that. :D

Would there be any point in ringing the maufacturer to see why.

I have no idea what was written on mine, never looked. But as I said I had no problems with the lots that come through. The teeth are still white with no staining or plaque. I did use the tooth brush the other day but only because when I did look it appeared as if Madam had been eating something with dirt and it was on her teeth so I just used the brush to clean it off and all the teeth are pearly white, so far so good. If I only have to brush the teeth once a fortnight that is a distinct advantage to having to clean them every day or second as I have been doing.

Absolutely. Always put your heat in one corner of the whelping box so the bitch/puppies can move in or out of the heat as it is required.
