Why can't the dog be in the cab with you ?. It is sometimes far to hot in a Qld. summer to have a dog on the back of a ute no matter what type of containment system is used. :)

Vip Petfoods Natures Goodness Grainfree

LOL, OK anniek I think I may be able to help you here or give you some hope. I rang VIP foods and spoke to a lady about the product and this is what she said. They hope to have the product in Coles in about 2 months they are negotiating with them (Coles) at the moment about stocking the product. Also they are hoping to get it out in 8Kg bags but it appeared as though the supermarkets prefer it in small bags, could be something to do with space on their shelves I think. Keep your fingers crossed that it may be able to be purchased at another supermarket soon and that may appear in 8 Kg bags. -

It is in 3 KG bags and comes in two varieties as far as I can remember and that includes the dog rolls. I have been talking to others that are using it and I have not heard a bad word about it. One said they had to cut down on the dry as the dogs were putting on to much weight and I had to do the same as mine were gaining to much weight also. I am using Wild Game with Sweet Potato and I had to use it to believe it, as I am not usually a fan of Supermarket brands. -
An air-dried bone is not much different to a bone left out in the yard that dries out naturally in the sun/wind- and these are perfectly safe. The only difference between a dried bone and a fresh bone is the water content, same as with most dehydrated foods. Drying something does not cook it. Well you can feed it to yours, but I'm not feeding dried out bones that can splinter to mine and I would advise others to follow suit. :) Anything that has gone through a curing process is considered to be cooked.

I have been told (true or not) that you may only purchase the VIP grain Free products from Woolworths. -
Anything that is dried, smoked or processed, consider it as cooked and don't feed it. The manufacturer of this food only considers what the income will be. Its just like the manufactures of dog roll meat with the roll full of filler vegetables that dogs can not digest.

All this age limits was introduced I believe because of the accusing fingers being pointed at the pure bred dog world and the controlling bodies in all their WISDOM decided to get in before and be able to say Nar, nar, na, nar, nar look what we have done, you can't touch us. Well the pointing fingers just sat back and grinned and said thanks that's just what we wanted in the first place and you did all on your own without us having to do much at all. When will some people see they are being manipulated by those that wish to see the demise of the dog world as they perceive us. I pray our controlling bodies will band as one and one day show some strength against those that would destroy us. I remember reading an article about a judge in America saying (I am sure tongue in cheek) that he was not quite sure if he had due restriction over the powerful AKC.

Would My Dog Have Rocks In His Stomach?
oakway replied to booge's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Yes dogmad quite correct. We should always try and remember to tell the owners of Poo eaters that it only stops the dog eating its own Poo when pineapple is added, if the dog eats other dogs Poo, you will have to feed the other dogs pineapple too. I have always been told that it something in pineapple that makes the Poo inedible. Usually if you feed enough Pineapple (I use plain label crushed) for long enough they stop!!! but you will always find the exception to rule. :) -
Come on everybody lets see what the breeders diet is before it's condemed. It may be an excellent diet. If the new owner is still not happy please come back and ask some questions, giving us details of the breeders diet and if it needs adjusting we may be able to help. Also if it is of any help when you pick your pup up you "usually" receive A diet sheet A vaccination record A microchip record A registration certificate from your states controlling body with the dog in your name or the registration certificate with signed transfer (on the back) In some states registration may be different and the papers may have to be forwarded at a later date. Any other information the breeders deems necessary.

If you have enough neuters entered why not try and get their own property classes. Maybe donate a sash for the winners or ask for sash donations for the neuter classes. How about asking the breeders of your breed to donate. As neuter classes are starting to become more popular the breeders may be happy to put some of their better stock on the Neuter Register and have it in the ring. Just another way of promoting your breed to those that do not wish to keep an entire but would be happy to show a neuter.
